This really is a fantastic little museum and Historic Scotland should be commended for ensuring it is preserved for generations to come.
Small museum with friendly staff and a real Blackhouse to explore complete with peat fire.

Really well designed museum room telling the story of Harris Tweed with archive film, a working loom, samples of fabric in a range of colours and patterns, through to finished garments.

Run by volunteers from the Bernera Historical Society, who also run the Iron Age House at Bosta on Great Bernera, the museum has a selection of Iron Age artifacts on display from the 1996 dig.
A small but interesting museum with history about the island.
