Definitely worth the walk up at your own pace. There are various paths to follow, and the views are glorious!

Great 2 hours spent looking around the Royal Yacht Brittannia. Congratulations to the volunteers for making it a really enjoyable, interesting experience.

Right there is some great exhibits here but its not the easiest museum to navigate (and I'm not the only one to think this from other reviews). And how long do you spend here? I put 2/3 hours on the review but you will never see and absorb everything so you would need another visit to properly appreciate it

Really enjoyed the Natural History and Geology side of the museum and the Science and Tech areas were very interesting, but maybe we missed some of the areas because we felt it was lacking in Scottish history, I expected it to be more in depth about Scottish kings and queens and Scotlands relationship with the world, and conflicts with England.
We had two visits here and didnt see everything we wanted to, maybe on our visit next year, there will be a better map and signage.

Oh but before I forget it, the mechanical clock is a great piece of visual art!

Loved everything about this area of town. Great selection of vegetarian foods as well in the many cafes and restaurants.

We love historical sites and exploring this one was a treat. Lots to see and discover. Good walking shoes definitely needed - many uneven areas. Friendly staff and an over all good experience at this location.

What a brilliant experience. We love science and optical illusions so this was a must see for us on a weekend trip to Edinburgh. I'd been before over a decade ago, and remembered it fondly, but was pleasantly surprised that the museum had been updated and made even more interactive. My 11yo son loved it, especially the vortex tunnel and mirror maze. Very good covid safety too with staff regularly wiping down touch points and a one way stern in place.

I hadn't visited the Palace for years, and had always had great memories of visiting it when I was a child. On my friend's recommendation I went to see the exhibition on Seven Portraits: Surviving the Holocaust. It was a stunning exhibition which everyone should see.

What made the visit even more magical for me was witnessing how an elderly couple was spoken to in the exhibition by a member of the staff. They had arrived at the same time as me, and the wife was partially sighted but she had always loved art and had wanted someone to describe the pictures to her.

This is when the member of the staff stepped forward. She was an older, tall, lady with short blonde hair and glasses. She wore a mask but she introduced herself as Alice, and said she would be more than happy to describe the paintings for her. And this she did. She spent time talking about the colours, and the amazing stories behind the pictures. I wish more attractions would take the time to care for their visitors as much as the Palace did.

We loved the vibe in this area. Yes, lots of tourist but with so much history crammed into one area, can you blame us? Great pubs and restaurants all along the way. Highly recommend.

As someone who has recently delved into Whiskey world, the tour was very educational. The guide(Max) was knowledgeable. The collection of whiskeys is very impressive. Would recommend the Gold tour as you get to sample many more kinds of Whiskey's.

great views over the city and Arthurs seat, lovely buildings on top, great photo opportunities, and a great cemetery across the road worth looking at too.

What can we say except, WOW!

We have watched the show many times over the years but it is lame in comparison to the real thing.

The ambiance, the volume, the audience participation...everything.

We were here during the Edinburgh festival, so the streets were full but the lines to the concert which holds 8000 seats, moves extremely quickly with the help of the many police and military personel.

We were lucky enough to have great weather throughout the show.

Fireworks at the end of the show help make this one of the most memorable experiences you will have in a lifetime.

Really enjoyed this wee island. We booked the boattrip including 11/2 hour stop on the island. The weather was nice and we had brought some lunch which we enjoyed on the bay/beach next to the abbey. The abbey itself is still closed, which we knew, but you can still see plenty and get a good view from the top of the island. Nice walk up to the top and wind your way down around the hill. Plenty of viewing points and lots of birds!
The toilets were clean and there is a wee shop where you can get souvenirs and some soft drinks. The trip to the island was a bit rough but most people found that good fun i think. Lots of seals in the rocky island before you get to Incholm which was really nice and we got to see all 3 bridges from the water. Really nice trip and island.

The Forth birdge is best seen from crossing the Queensferry Crossing bridge.

You would not see the full scale from the train line that crosses it.

There are otherview points, especially from the Forth Bridges Viewpoint.

What was mostamazingto learn zbout thie now, UNESCO heritage listed site is the constant never ending painting and maintenance to keep the bridge safe and in good repair.

I visited The Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh (1670). The garden celebrated 350 years in existence. The weather was nice and cool, hence strolling around would be a pleasure. The main gate is the west one. The Glasshouse was closed. The garden is beautiful and very green. It is a great outing for the weekend. Visit only, if you have extra time.

I went here because I'm an Outlander fan and this is a primary filming location for part of the show. Everyone from the gate attendant to the guides was extremely kind and helpful. This estate is beautiful and full of history. The guide, Jennifer, was so helpful and knowledgable on Outlander information, but she also gave me so much history about the estate itself. It was a great experience and I would recommend any Outlander fan to visit.
