Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Keith B2 contributionsMy daughter-in-law and I went to the Tunnels for the 1 & 1/4 hour visit and found it very interesting and our guide Trev was very helpful and knowledgeable.Written 4 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael H4 contributionsProbably the best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced during a football match. Wow!
The stadium is enormous and exciting, sadly there are some fans who swear at every failed attempt, but that happens in every stadion.
It’s surely worth a visit, book a match at NUFC!Written 26 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nice walk along Quayside back from Millennium Bridge.Written 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian MNewcastle upon Tyne, UK70 contributionsI'm a local, but haven't visited the Castle since my childhood. I can honestly say I found the experience as exciting as I did as a child and enjoyed the views from the castle much more. This was a great experience with much to see and much to learn from the excellent signage provided. There were a few visitors besides ourselves, but not too many that it had any effect on our enjoyment of the experience. Be warned, there are lots of steps which need to be climbed so as to enjoy Castle Keep to the full. Great experience and a perfectly reasonable price for tickets relative to today's prices. I'm tempted to revisit soon. Kids of all ages would love this.Written 6 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LostInTimePittsburgh, PA24,231 contributionsThis is a bridge across the river in the center area of the town. It’s a nice looking bridge. It looks better at night. Worth a look.Written 9 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kim S2 contributionsWe hadn't been back for a few years and again it didn't disappoint. We found a great place to eat breakfast, the Salt & Pepper cafe. Easily walkable city, (wear suitable shoes)and plenty of shops. Too much to see and do in a couple of days. Lovely meal in the centre at the Liberian restaurant. I had a great fish and chips too in a pub near the river. The finished University is amazing. Granger Market(indoor)is large and pretty well stocked. We were on foot and that's the only reason we didn't buy more 😆. We plan to return and take the car to see more of the area. Once again we had great weather!Written 26 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TravellingRetirees2County Durham, UK107 contributionsWe visited the cathedral for one of the Candlelight Concerts and this one was the music of The Eagles. The musicians were first class and the sound in the church is really good. We'd definitely go to another one. However, our experience was somewhat marred by a woman nearby who used her 'phone throughout the whole concert. We could see the constant bright, 'phone light in our peripheral vision when the atmosphere was supposed to be dark, - apart from one or two lights behind the band, the light came from candles. Why go to a concert if you're not going to watch the show?Written 27 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LostInTimePittsburgh, PA24,231 contributionsThe Royal Theater is in the main part of the city. The building is very nice. I liked the crest on the top a lot. It has a reputation for putting on some great presentations.Written 6 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
