Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Mel P1 contributionHad a brilliant experience this morning.
Staff friendly.
Alpacas lovely what an experience.
Went with daughter and family friend.
Definitely recommend.Written 3 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This beautiful valley has many waterfalls, bridges and even stepping stones. The path threads it's way along following the river through the trees, mill stones and bridges. There are a couple of places where you cross a road but that would depend upon how far you walk.
The small car park was full so we, along with many others, parked on the roadside. At the lower end of the trail there is a cafe, toilets and a children's play area.
The walk is largely level and accessible although a pram or wheelchair wouldn't be practical.Written 11 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We enjoyed the owl experience, flying the owl in the field. We loved meeting Brutus the armadillo where we fed him mealworms in a room. Didn't realise an armadillo was so soft underneath. He was quite a character and the member of staff was knowledgeable and really cared for the animals.Written 1 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Parvati P88 contributionsWhat a oasis tucked away near Sheffield , we visited the three merry men pub after walking to the revilen dam and doing a circular walk back to the car park which was free but very small and packed. Still amazing to find parking on the bank holiday here at a squeeze
Beautiful water falls a golden colour and if you head the other way a cafe the moo moo or something very closeby as is the three merry men pub.
Great place to visit. Not far from paddley gorgeWritten 2 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Check out the different paths through the wood. Surrounded by heavy traffic in Woodseats, and local housing estates, it maintains itself as a reserve for nature in its many forms.Written 1 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan FSheffield, UK10 contributionsEasy to find. Easy to park (Free) lots of little paths to explore nature. Pram friendly. Some steep hills but alternative paths can be used. Nice areas for picnics if your wish to take one.Written 12 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
