Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gardens
What travellers are saying
- Kaz GBedfordshire, UK73 contributionsOverall the place is absolutely lovely with some stunning plants and flowers. I have visited a few times but noticed on my visit this weekend that the flower/plant beds inside desperately need watering as some of the plants had gone brown and completely died. You could see that nothing had been watered for a long time. Nevertheless less this is a lovely place to visit with family and friends. The gardens outside are kept immaculate and I did see someone working on them during our visit.Written 31 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aaron F2 contributionsGreat place to sit and relax on a cold day. Always good to take a group and have a packed lunch. Can get busy between 12 to 2 though.Written 5 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ChrisHinckley, UK952 contributionsNice place to have a walk through, there is a water feature which kids play in, so if you have kids bring an extra set of clothes for them to change. There is some seating about.Written 20 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Eva TUnited Kingdom1,393 contributionsWe found this smaller garden centre/nurseries when driving through Swallownest where this garden centre is located. It's near to Rotherham than Sheffield. We found a good choice of plants for very reasonable prices. They have also bags of soil, compost and garden ornaments. Will use them again.Written 8 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Neil KLiverpool, UK619,734 contributionsI chanced upon this beautiful church as I was walking around this part of town and couldn't resist checking it out.
St George's Church was constructed between 1821 - 1825 ,a beautiful Gothic piece of architecture, no longer a place of worship but a lecturer theatre for Sheffield University, its still a fabulous piece of architecture, I loved the grounds on which the church rests, lots of old gravestones and tombs that are fascinating to read ,it was just so good walking around the well kept gardens and taking in the great views of the former church which is easy to locate along St George's Terrace, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.Written 19 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
