Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We entered the museum from the back entrance. The place opens at 10, we were there at 9:30, 5th in line, our entry tickets were for 10am. No tickets were checked though, just our bags. If you are visiting with children, I recommend yon head straight to the family desk and rent one of their activities backpacks. The backpacks are geared towards different age groups and make exploring the museum more appealing to kids. The backpacks are free to use (you MUST return them), you do have to leave the cash deposit. We didn’t have any British pounds but the staff member was kind enough to let us leave euros. You rent the backpacks for 1.5 hours. If you still need more time, you have to come back and extend your use time. We picked the backpack to explore the Egyptian collection (mummies). Very informative and interesting even to us adults. Kids have to complete tasks using props from the backpack. You can bring your food to eat. We ate at the pizza place. It was ok, nothing special. About $70 for 4 of us (2adults and 2 kids, 2 pizza and a Cesar salad with salon, 1 beer and 1 wine).

A wide range of paintings of different styles. The Impressionist section contained some amazing art works that are world famous. I'm sure the other sections were equally impressive, but we were limited on time and only had a few hours. Use the guide leaflet to pick your area of interest, as it has several different areas. The cafe food was great and the loo was very quiet.

We had a good time at the museum but my one big bit of advice is don’t take children that are too young or just take them to the dinosaur bit and don’t expect them to go to the rest of it. This time ours are aged 12 and 9 and even then they lose interest after a few hours.

I would also suggest taking your own food in and heading to the picnic area as the food we got in one of the restaurants was awful! The kids rolls were hard with hardly any butter the quiche was cold and tasteless and the wedges were cold too and it set us back £40.

Such a worthwhile visit- a must-do for vintage lovers, antique enthusiasts or those who seek good food and a busy ambiance. The lovely owner of Camera Hut (stall D25) was really kind and welcoming. The jewellery stalls are endless and worrying about whether or not you can eat, as a vegan, is not an issue there. 10/10 experience

Covent Garden is a gem in the centre of London. A lovely market full of interesting shops and stalls that manages to merge the traditional with contemporary and not be at all tacky. We stopped at Covent Garden by chance really, we had no plans to go there but were extremely pleased that we did. An excellent couple of hours, a nice bit of lunch made the visit very enjoyable.

You can’t beat free! It was pouring rain when we went, so our personal experience wasn’t the greatest, but I’d love to go again when the weather is clear. Great views of the Tower of London and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Make a reservation on line if you expect to go, they book out up to 3 weeks in advance.

One of the smaller parks, so not as easy to get lost, but still plenty to see. The flowers were beautiful, lots of squirrels and birds, and the fountains prompt many photos. Very easy to access if you are near the Palace , perfect on a warm day to have a break from sightseeing. Minutes from Trafalgar Square

Nestled discreetly amidst the labyrinthine streets of Marylebone, the Wallace Collection stands as a testament and hallowed sanctuary to refined elegance and cultural enrichment. From the outset, the museum cultivated an ambience steeped in historical grandeur, through its imposing façade and its palatial environs that painted a bygone epoch characterised by aristocratic extravagance and refined sensibilities. The collection itself is a breathtaking embodiment of artistic eclecticism, spanning the resplendent canvases of the baroque and rococo art as well as the intricately crafted armour displays of medieval-era knights. Each gallery exuded a palpable aura of reverence for the aesthetic sublime that contributed to the museum's presentation of an odyssey through the annals of human creativity. An underrated cultural mecca.

We spent a whopping 6 hours in here with my 17 yr old son. Thankfully there are plenty of benches and places to sit & watch videos etc and a cafe (very busy & rather expensive).
The exhibitions are split up into eras & spread over 5 floors and all are presented very well. A mixture of reading, objects and interactive displays.
Even if you aren’t a huge war history fan it is still worth a visit as it is free entry and you will learn something!

An educational, fun experience for everyone. Our guide, Suzy, was exceptionally well informed and brought history alive with anecdotes and her way of explaining.
