Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent! Into history, you should not miss this!
Includes the Churchill Mumems. The actual reinforced basement was used by Churchill and the war cabinet to run WWII. The room remains almost exactly as it was on the day Japsn surrendered ending WWII. Be prepared for crowds. Get tickets in line ahead of time!

One of the most amazing places to see in London. We didn’t know what to expect but were amazed. We booked the hidden treasures tour and the jubilee gallery, which was well worth the extra. The hidden treasures tour was a small group and you literally go behind doors with your guide and get to see so much more than general entry. This included the excavated ruins right outside where people are lining up which you don’t know exists until you go on this tour. Our guide Sarah was amazing. Because the groups is small you have no crowds until you return to general entry. The whole is place is breathtaking.

It's great to see it in person. Very impressive place. Didn't go in but saw plenty from street level. Some work being done to it but still worth visiting.

Ever since Peter Pan and Wendy flew around Big Ben in the Disney Cartoon I have wanted to see it. I probably took 20 different pictures from different angles and it never seased to amaze me. For me it was #1 on my list of things that I had to see in London. In the sunlight the gold around the face truly sparkles. Another check on my bucket list for sure!

The staff at Heathrow terminal 4 have been amazing.
I am travelling with two young children and my husband and I am in a wheelchair. The service that I received from them was above anything that I have ever experienced with the willingness to help with making sure our travel plans went smoothly. Thank you to all involved

    PROS
    * The main focus of political and historical London
    * packed in here are the most amazing tourist sites that are all essential for a visitor to London- from Westminster Bridge past the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben to Parliament Square, Westminster Abbey, the UK Supreme Court and on through St. James Park to Buckingham Palace and other royal stuff and then down The Mall through Admiralty Arch to everything in Trafalgar Square.

    CONS
Too much "stuff" to ever do in only one or two days

    "I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... because I visited each and every one of those things that I mentioned above- and more- see all of my "helpful" individual reviews and photos of those separate attractions.

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
The stroll through the Westminster area is free.

WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
For aure- every visit to London must include some if not all of the places here.

    ADVICE
As stated, you must come here- no visit to London is complete without it.

This is the most beautiful and peaceful place and I would urge anyone to go. Fantastic mosaic ceilings and beautiful marble like I’ve never seen before. There is a peaceful aura.

Crowded but worth a visit. We were there the first week of September and there were only two horses. This is typical when the RF removes to Balmoral during the summer and the horses to Hampton Court for refresher training and relaxation. This is not listed on their website, and there were many, many complaints from other tourists that their trip was ruined because they just wanted to see the horses. Ungrateful. A few minutes on the official Royal Mews website details just what is on display and what you can expect. I was absolutely enthralled by the magnificence and opulence of the coaches. It was a spectacular privilege to be able to see them in person and I think a visit is definitely worth the time.

It was lovely getting close to the horses, we only saw the parade from the rear but the kids loved the horses. Unfortunately it was lashing rain so we didn't get to go look foe the parade from the front but got to see the horses bon the less.

We went to the Victoria Palace Theatre on our last night in London to see Hamilton. It was fabulous and a great way to end a wonderful trip!

Wonderful to see Holbein's sketches up close and the gallery explaining the materials and techniques he used was very interesting. Also impressed by the skill of the curators in providing such good explanatory text beside each drawing. Great value for money. The queue for entry was frankly bizarre and as a previous commenter has said could be easily improved with the addition of boards indicating where to queue based on time of entry.

We had a look around the Queen Victoria Memorial Fountain whilst visiting London. It is right at the end of The Mall directly in front of the palace. The memorial is huge and well detailed. People have thrown coins in the water and I think they've been there ages as the area around them has discoloured. Surprised they've not been pinched! It is very busy around the memorial and a lot of people sit on it so prepare to wait for photos etc.

There is always something to see when you walk the length of The Mall. Whether it's for a purpose visit to the Palace, or to get to one the parks.
It has a traditional Brit feel about it, Union Jacks flying.
    A London must!
