Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is one of the major streets in the City of Westminster in the West End London, the busiest shopping area with hundreds of retail shops, branded and quality products. As we went during peak Christmas season, the area was bursting with crowds and dazzling decorations all around.

Went to see MJ the musical.
Auditorium is air conditioned so nice temperature on a hot day.
There is a nice outside bar terrace if in the dress circle.

Went to see House of JoJo with Johannes Radebe. Amazing show. Was in the front row of Dress Circle, good view of stage but limited leg-room. However, there is a warning about this on the ticket. Very awkward having to stand up for people getting to their seats. Couple of minutes walk from Oxford Circus tube station.

Lovely area great vibe. No where open after 11pm to get a drink and sit outside on a hot summer night after the London Palladium. Every where closed, but you can get a beer from 10am in the morning and sit outside.

Beautiful Olde World Theatre with lovely friendly staff.
Harry Potter & The Cursed Child was a superb show and top notch Actors and effects
But although in two halves so it was quite long but boy those seats really are awful.
Very uncomfortable far too hard on the backside very tightly packed in.
They need a bit of attention most certainly

I'm not really a fan of slapstick & fairly unfamiliar with the Fawlty Towers programme which aired from 1975 to 1979 but really enjoyed this. I chose it because with a running time of just 1 hour 50 I was able to squeeze it in before catching my train. It was a good choice - well acted, entertaining, & heartily well received by the full capacity audience.

I've lost count of the number of times I've seen Les Miserables in London, New York, the cinema and Europe, and I was expecting a weaker cast so long into the West End run. I was wrong. The singing was uniformly excellent, except for a rather shrill Cosette, and the production flawless. Very highly recommended.

Really enjoyed Opening Night. Grand Circle seats had a good view of the stage. Staff were great and dealt exceptionally well with a medical emergency during the interval. Older theatre, beautiful interior. Advised where cast and Sheridan Smith would be after the show. Had pics taken with a couple of the cast. Sheridan Smith was a joy. The theatre is a five minute walk from Piccadilly tube station on Shaftesbury Avenue.

Absolutely love this theatre. Have been quite a few times over the years, and each visit has been consistently fabulous. The stage spaces are intimate and a super place to see upcoming (and sometimes well established) talent. I love the vibe in the bar, I love the friendly staff, and I love the fact that you can have a chat with the person you just saw perform on stage, in that bar, after the show! It’s a 10/10 from me every time!

Went to see Istanbul Sessions recently. RS’s hasn’t changed much since I last visited ages ago. Idiosyncratic queueing and seating system, decent staff, great sound, great view of performance. Our family group had a great time. Istanbul Sessions very talented but somewhat esoteric musical genre kept us both incredulous on occasion and well entertained throughout.
Decided we will come back for a longer evening including the late show which we couldn’t manage this time.
Apparently there is a refurbishment this August, hope it’s not too severe and retains the unique character of the club

I'm 6'1", and I don't know what people are talking about when they complain that there isn't enough leg room here. The seats are reasonable and better than most West End theatres. I wish the seats were slightly more raked, as we had some tall people right in front of us who made things a little hard to see, but the stage is pretty high, so we were mostly OK. I was impressed at how much they are able to pack onto what is not a large stage by West End standards: an orchestra pit up behind the stage, rotating wheels within wheels on the stage floor, multiple screens dropping down in front of and behind the action. Great acoustics, too: no trouble at all hearing even under the balcony.

One of my last days in London, and I could not leave without going to a photo gallery! Glad I did.

There was a piece on the top floor by Bieke Depoorter that was really engaging. And another work about Thamesmead that was equally as interesting. The showings rotate, so it's really luck of the draw as to what you'll see.

The gift shop is epic. They have so many books that I wanted to get, but alas, I am but a disabled traveller, unfit for carry large volumes across the pond.

Most importantly, they sell all types of film in the shop. Film and even cameras. Who needs candy when you can lick the delicious toxic chemicals of celluloid?

I'm a big HP fan so of course I had to make a stop here on my visit to London. The store is small but it has a lot to look at. The day that I went wasn't particularly busy (It didn't hurt that it was a Wednesday at 11AM) so it was more enjoyable than the HP shop I went to while in Edinburgh. Although there are a lot of cute things I don't think there are necessarily anything that you can't find online. Again come here if you are fan and you want to be surrounded by HP memorabilia but know that most of the stuff sold here can be found online.

FYI: the books such as the potions book from the 6th movie are actualy journals and have no content inside them. It would be so cool if they could come up with some content of what would have been in these books. I would totally buy every one of them if something like that ever got released.
