Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is an easy station to navigate, arriving from the underground, platforms are straight in front of you. Most staff are helpful.

We took the DLR from Bank to Cutty Sark and back. A good service overall with nice little driverless trains and good views. We could use our one day travel card.

The journey was exactly as it said, quick on time. Down side is there is a long walk from terminal 2 to the station although terminal 5 was closer. I got a family ticket but you scan that and the gate only allows for 1 person to pass through not the whole group

We travelled business premier as I was taking my 70 year old mother for the her first time in Paris, I wanted her to experience 1st class travel. I traveled eurostar business class once before in 2011 and it was exceptional. Both lounges felt so classy and peaceful and both had fully stocked bars and great complimentary food.

The lounges sadly have been greatly scaled back. The lounge at St.pancras is still quite nice but the decor is getting tired. The bar upstairs im glad to see is still manned. We traveled in the morning and they were service freshly made smoothies. However we are now at gard du nord. The queues even for business premier cannot be avoided (you're ok if you have a European passport though. But sadly uk is no longer in the EU so very very long queues for us.) once you're through to busness is not the quiet professional space it once was. It seems many people travel business with young children now and the space is quite echoy. The sunken bar lays empty and unused. We are traveling at lunchtime and I would have expected it to be manned.

The sorry selection of complimentary snacks is limited to crisps and pretzels. Basic alcohol selection and tea and coffee. The food and drink area is full of people asking where the non existent sandwiches are and faces of disappointed expectation.

This is a very good service. We used the train to get from London to Brighton and it all went well except for the difficulty in finding somewhere suitable, and available, on the train to store our two suitcases. A surprising lack of space.

Organised craziness, you have to experience the tube in London to appreciate what it’s about. A great way to get around London and your out of the weather.

On the way out everything was served in cheap plastic including plastic cups for wine. Not club class by any means. The cabins are much much smaller than the photos show . The train is very noisy so don't expect to sleep well. The food is mediocre and cheap. The worst thing of all was we had no water from 6am so couldn't shower or clean our teeth and even worse was we couldn't flush the loo after doing a number 2. Utterly embarrassing. The staff were friendly and the return journey was marginally better. This had been on my wish list for 50 years and a major disappointment.

Great budget and quality of marketing for the 'Brand'. But don't be deceived. I travel very regulaly. Despite lovely staff, GWR is SEVERELY lacking in Value-for-Money and Quality of Product, especially in 'premium-priced' 1st CLASS (compared with their own past and other current Inter-city service providers in the country, who provide a free menu of cooked-to-order foods, salads and sandwiches, as well as free bar drinks e.g. Avanti, LNER etc). Even if you're lucky enough to actually GET a Trolley Service (which is completely hit and miss), make sure you eat a decent meal before you travel, especially if you're going 5 1/2 hours all the way to, or from, Penzance!!!!! ...and don't expect anything worthwhile, or nutrious, in the lounges either! Don't even get me started on the Night Sleeper running reliability with services regularly cancelled by staff transferred to prop-up a lack of staff on daytime trains! Truly disgraceful profiteering from this budget-cost, high-priced rail company.

Perhaps my least favourite Train station in London.
Even getting there from the Tube feels unsafe.
Considering how busy it is & the well healed people that must use it, it's pretty shabby.
    Even Peterborough Station is nicer!

Thought the tube train service was good but the train carriages were very tired, the buses were plentiful but regrettably the customer service shown by the drivers was poor. It was almost as if they hated to give any advice on destinations.

Worst first class carriage I've ever been in. Waste of money.
No space for a suitcase on service to Gatwick Airport.
    Seats close together and shabby.

I just got back from making a return journey from Sheffield to London St Pancras on EMR. Friends and family have recently travelled this route and complained to me about how dirty and worn out the carriages are. Having experienced it first hand I can only agree with them! After a couple of hours sitting in a grubby seat with worn out springs and compressed foam I feel like I've been beaten up!
EMR are currently running an advertising campaign with a cute stuffed toy mascot character in an attempt to convince the travelling public that travelling on their trains is 'fun' and 'relaxing'. The train was full with no spare seats today so it must be working but the reality is very different to the adverts.

Visit the roof garden and see plants growing through a timber roof. Just exit the station and press roof garden in the lift. An uplifting experience.
