- Very fun and informative! Bryan is a wonderful tour guide full of knowledge and banter. Did this tour with my fiancée while we had a day in Southampton and it was a great way to see the city and learn fascinating history not just about the Titanic, but also of the port and area. Time and distance were nice - not too long to eat up most of your day but still fulfilling and worthwhile. Grabbed a pint at a pub at the end that had a neat story tied to the Titanic. - billypuebloHouston, TXWe booked Oliver through TripAdvisor for a local tour prior to a cruise. He picked us up at our hotel in Southampton and took us to Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge. He was a phenomenal tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about both attractions and made sure we saw all the highlights of each. Oliver communicated with us before the trip which was very helpful in getting tickets at the right time for both attractions. Oliver is very friendly and was a pleasure to be with for the afternoon. We enjoyed 2 full private days of touring New Forest, Stonehenge, and Bath with Ian and everything was extremely well planned out. I had only given him basic requests about wanting to have a couple laid back days of touring the country side, seeing beautiful sights and keeping in mind that we were traveling with our three year old son. He planned out every stop, came along with us telling neat stories as we went and made sure we had some great local food. This tour company has excellent reviews for good reason - they are professional, adaptable, organized and knowledgeable. - Our cruise was docking early in Southampton, and we wanted to make the most of the rest of the day before getting to London for our return flight home the next day. Stonehenge was a must-do, but we weren't sure where else to go. Bela was fantastic in making suggestions, and arranged the perfect day for us: Stonehenge (getting us in quickly through the queue as a "group"), Salisbury Cathedral, and Windsor Castle. We enjoyed his company and conversation throughout the drives, and he was an invaluable resource providing tips on how to approach each site visit, advising us getting tickets, what to be sure to see, and maximizing our time in each place. He advised our UK-based family members on joining English Heritage for free admission to many other sites as well.
Cool bottles of water were welcome, as well as a tin of "sweets", and he even shared a package of cough drops for my cough. He always made sure we knew where to find restrooms and things to eat. Communications before and during our trip were easy, and the drop off at the door to our London hotel was the perfect end to the trip. We highly recommend Bela for your Southampton to London travel with sites in between. - We had the most amazing day! We were picked up by our driver at 8 AM, who was waiting outside just as we left the terminal, so that we would not miss him. He was just delightful as he took us first to Stonehenge, then to Bath. He told us about the audio tour to listen to at Stonehenge and where to go to eat in Bath. He shared with us his knowledge about different areas that we traveled through and was so accommodating the entire day. He waited a couple of hours in each place for us to experience all that we wanted to and then brought us back into London in the middle of rush-hour traffic but maintained such a happy attitude the entire day. I would highly recommend this experience for those who are looking to try to make a tour day of their first day in the city before they check into their hotel. We loved everything about it!
