Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Views from both the 2/3 way and top viewpoints are amazing.
The surrounding gardens are really nice - would love to see them in spring/summer - and there's ample seating at the bottom to look out over Bristol. It's just a shame that the public toilets are covered in graffiti!
The stairs up to the 2/3 way viewpoint are narrow with a few points to just about pass people going the other way; the last bit of stairs to the top even narrower with no chance to pass each other. We were fortunate to only pass 1 person on the stairs when we went (3-4 at the top at the same time as us and a few arriving just after we got back to the bottom).

This was the second group that I have taken to this this wonderful church. So much to learn about the connections with the poets Chatterton, Coleridge and Southey. Also, Hogarth, Handel, Penn and, of course, Good Queen Bess.
"We had a lovely tour today – much enjoyed by all.Bryan as guide and organist was brilliant – please tell him"

We were a little unfortunate when we visited as there was some renovation work in progress and they were preparing for a large exhibition which resulted in some of the area not being open.
The staff are very welcoming and it’s well worth a look if you’re in the area.

Really peaceful oasis in a busy city centre. Learned a lot about the Methodist church and its role in ending the slave trade. Well worth a visit.

Visited for parkrun, taking in the steep uphill mile and a bit path and back down again. The top affords amazing views of Bristol, the path is a mixture of tarmac and unmade gravel. There are toilets and the cafe is nice, lots of choice including for vegans. Coffee is so-so, prices are pretty steep but service was really good. And there’s a 10% discount for parkrunners on a Saturday morning. Parking here can be tricky at busier times.

So glad we came here today

We went to Nevis a few years ago and went to Pinneys Planation

To see his home and read the history is upsetting but essential sadly

    The guides are very good

    Thank you

Hidden gem, well worth 10 minutes of your time. Delightful architecture with some thatched cottages. Homes are occupied so just a little look around at the outside.

History in the heart of the city!
Exquisite Tudor wooden panelling and carvings, fireplaces, engravings and interesting furniture.
We visited close to Halloween so some rooms had ‘ghosts’of previous residents bringing the history to life.
Very well done, interesting and great fun😃

Staff were very friendly. Quite a quirky selection of exhibits, including a scold’s bridle. Not worth a special trip, but do pop in if you are already on the estate. Good shop too - bought a football and little windmill.

A brilliant tour of an iconic building. Informative and amusing 1 and half hours! Well worth the £5. admission. Including the great hall, library and a climb to the top with amazing views.

Interesting and very unusual small church, built to fit the width of the city walls. Interesting information boards. Worth a visit if it happens to be open.

Well worth a visit. This unique chapel is almost lostbin amongst the shops. Opposite the council house, it has beaten the drive to lose all our past.

One of many bridges in the city, provides access to features & amenities on the other side. Also a piece of history ,would’ve been great to see it working.

Pretty little garden opposite St Mary Radcliffe, with fascinating history and little nooks and crannies. Probably one not one for the kids. But worth it if your passing.
