I was surprised to find out that the market would not be in its current location for much longer. It looks like August is their final month. What a shame. This is pretty much a Takapuna institute.
The market has an eclectic mix of stalls, ranging from plants to crafts, produce to food vendors. We mainly went for the food. One stand out was the Sri Lankan stall. The samosas were tasty and the pakodas to die for!

Bjorn Again trumps with rollicking good fun, sing-along melodies of way back when; enduring timeless hits. Glitzy 70s costumes, we get to DressUp as well – just fab! Young, older fans, 'n' enthusiasts in-between of ABBA - fantastic.. Spectacular views of Mitre Peak and all the rest. Best to time it for high tide if you can IMO.
A well formed path and flat for kids and older folks.
Without the international tourists, it was blissfully quiet, which made it even better. It’s quirky, loads of local stuff a church they moved down the hill. Go and visit it for an hour.

For uninterrupted views of the skyline of Auckland, we decided to visit Cyril Bassett lookout. Great views but the best thing about this lookout was the fact that it was quiet. We were there for about 30min and the whole time we were the only ones there.
