Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Nikki2805Manchester, UK3 contributionsMy son had been before with school and I was keen to try it out so took advantage of the current offer. We’re always looking for fun things to do in the holidays and it’s getting a little harder with a 12 year old but this ticked the box! Had a really fun afternoon, Matty was our guide and was super knowledgeable and made sure we were all having a great time, a real asset to the Wero! Would love to go again and try the trickier course.Written 16 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shoshana S37 contributionsWhen I was looking to do the Waitomo caves black water rafting as a day trip from Auckland, InterCity provided the least expensive option by far. Getting to the bus terminal in Auckland was easy, the bus was comfortable and the driver had lots of information he shared along the way, and we only made a few stops. There was a little bit of a wait for the return bus but after rafting and eating lunch, there was maybe only an extra half hour of waiting. The return bus was waiting for us at the caves cafe so finding it was easy and the return trip had only on fuel stop. I definitely recommend using intercity for this day trip.Written 23 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris BAuckland Central, New Zealand1 contributionPositive experience, from start to finish. All of the tour guides are full of knowledge and extremely helpful but also make the trip super fun - you can tell they genuinely enjoy their job and have done their research. I’ve travelled with other companies before, but this is right up there with the best. Thanks so much - I’ll be back!Written 15 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
