The sculptures and garden were fascinating, and encouraged us to think outside the box. It was a true highlight of our trip

Hadn't been to these markets for years & years so wasn't sure what to expect. They were great - not too packed close together, and a lot of different type of stalls. It's nice & close to the beach too, so it makes for a nice morning to browse the market, walk along the beach, & finish off with morning tea at one of the cafes.

Auckland is currently under lockdown, so, Just looking at their parking rates again.

Things have improved for Members parking... at least we wont be charged for the initial 2 hours if we stay 5 minutes over... but now members are charged higher rates ($7 / half hour) while non members pay just $3 per half hour... seems they still need to look at how they treat loyal customers.

Pretty standard Westfield mall, but nice and bright and sunny inside. Not huge, but enough shops to find most things you need.

Fantastic gallery - has something for every taste, from traditional to abstract. Love that not just the art on the walls - as has large pull out racks so so much more than when you first walk in.

Huge variety of shops and food court has a great selection of different food you can indulge in. Car parking is a mission though; think it is due to some construction work around Level 1 carpark. The introduction of KMart to the center has been a hit with it opening 24hours I think. The train station as well that is a bonus; you can catch a train from Britomart all the way to Manukau; train station is right there at the centre. Great location

We went here as part of the art trail walk in Oneroa - it was a great start to some great local art.

There are quite a few food outlets here including Ampersand, Brothers Beer and Saku Saku. There are a few spots in the front area but it is usually full.
We stopped by for lunch at Ampersand and took a look around since we were here. There are a few shops around as well as a Farro supermarket. It's not very big but does have quite a few options for either eating or shopping.

I visited Toi Gallery 8 years ago and so was excited to be going back to see Sally Smith's work again. I wasn't disappointed and bought two beautiful pieces. I was lucky to meet Sally in the Gallery and have her explain her work. Sally then posted my pieces in a fast and efficient way. Thanks for your creativity which I treasure on my walls.

The Glenfield Sunday Night Market is a must-do for a huge variety (with an emphasis on Asian) of cheap eats served fresh and hot. Malaysian, Thai, Chinese, Filipino, American, Korean, South African...the list of cuisines represented is long.

At first glance, you could easily imagine that you were browsing street vendors in any of a dozen Asian cities.

Most of the food is cooked right in front of you, so you get it piping hot.

We’ve been coming to this market for years and it’s always good, always a fun experience for everyone in the family. Wander around, snack on delicious food from all over the world, top it off with your choice of sweet treat from any of a dozen dessert stalls and then take home a little bit of everything. Wow.

The prices are rock-bottom. $10 for 4 large teriyaki chicken sticks, $11 for 33 pot-stickers, $2 pork buns, $10 for 7 pieces of prawn shiu-mai, and don’t leave without your healthy serving of Nutella cheesecake for $5.

As the night goes on, the market gets crowded and parking fills up in the parking structure. Still, there are always spaces available, you just have to drive up higher in the structure to get them. We like to show up when things are just getting rolling at 5:30pm, and folks are starting to trickle in. Whenever you arrive, the Glenfield Sunday Night Market is a good time, with good food, at crazy-good prices.

There are merchandise vendors here, also, and browsing their stalls is always interesting. iPhone paraphernalia, jewelry, hats, clothing, holistic health items, toys and more.

Fresh fruit and vegetables round out the vendor stalls.

The hours are 5:30pm to 11:00pm.

We heartily recommend the Glenfield Sunday Night Market. It’s fun for the whole family. If you’re lucky, there will be live music and maybe even the human statue guy.

    Check out the pictures!

I came a bit early around 0910 thinking that it would be difficult to find parking. When I got to the end of the road I noticed the sign that said the tow-away signs don't apply on weekends so I was able to get a really close park.
The market is in the area outside La Cigale and also includes some bit on the inside. There was quite a lot of options for food, whether it was to eat there or to take away for later.
We came as a fairly large group and managed to get one of the tables outside. We then had a pot luck style brunch where everyone just grabbed a few things from the different stalls and we just ate. We were able to get bread, salami, dips, smoked fish and lots of sweet items. It was definitely a nice experience.
I'm not sure how often the stalls rotate but there was a bit of everything like crepes and paella to baos and cacti. Worth a stop for an hour or two just to look around and gorge yourself.

Quite a nice and large mall with a variety of shops inside. There is a large carpark area around the mall. It doesn't loop so you would need to walk along one way and back to return to your carpark.
There is a series of restaurant in the outside area bu the foodcourt. The park area outside by the foodcourt was also quite nice.

What a lovely building with stunning views.
A pity about the rubbish on display!
The only good display was the ceramic items.

Jura is a small gallery near the harbour. It is crammed with work by New Zealand craftsmen including carving, painting and printing, jewellery, ceramics, fabrics and many others. It seems to have both traditional and modern styles in most media . Worth a look.
