We took the train to Cascais from Lisbon, and were so glad we did , the beaches up to Estoril are stunning and the town itself is a marvellous place to stroll around and chill out .
We looked at a couple of the other nearby beaches, but decided that this one had everything we needed.
Praia da ursa Sintra 7.9 km away
#8 of 30 Outdoor Activities in Sintra
Match: Beaches
Truly one of the most stunning beaches in Portugal, and the fact it lies so close to Cabo da Roca (and its tour busses) and remains relatively quiet most of the year is amazing.
After taking lots of pictures ar Cabo da Roca, follow the road back to sintra for 1-2 km and the trails on the hills; they will take you to one of the most amazing beaches you've ever seen!

Mid distance between Lisbon and Cascais, by train or car you can find one of the most beautiful Portuguese beaches, for swim, walk on sea shore, surfing and eating!
The surf tends to be gentler here than at other beaches nearby, so a great place for beginners to make a first lesson.

Estoril beachfront offers great beaches, a wonderful promenade that stretches for kilometers and kilometers and has loads of restaurants and pubs and offers great cycling, jogging or walking opportunities.
On my walk from São João do Estoril to Cascais, the Poça Beach reminded me of my grandchildren every step: a clean water, you can see the fishes through it, with natural (? ) pools.

I heard about the beautiful beaches in Cascais and I decided to check that out while visiting Lisbon.

Beach is well situated to the train station and also the Cascais branch of Santini - delicious ice cream!
The largest beach in Cascais lies east of Rua Frederico Arouca (the main, mosaic-paved street in town) and is the best place to lounge on the sands with a drink in your hand.
