What travellers are saying
- Winnie H2 contributionsBooking the gondola was easy, booking the Sky Bistro was hard, however, the staff were very helpful to get our party of 7 sitting together. View on Sulphur Mountain was fantastic, trip of a lifetime.Written 30 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KURT BWashington, IL393 contributionsEasy lake drive with great scenery. The lake is beautiful, and we saw a big Black Bear. Drove it in a 28FT. RV no problem.Written 25 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Anne DDelta, Canada63 contributionsWhat a gorgeous waterfall, and so nice and close to the Rimrock. A lot of snow is melting in the mountains and the falls were going full force. BeautifulWritten 25 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- calgaryjimCalgary, Canada83 contributionsTake the gondola, otherwise the longish hike up is super boring. From the top of the gondola ride, the views along the hike are simply stunning, bring sunglasses for sure. And we hiked in August, the horse flies were just dreadful, they wouldn’t leave us alone. I don’t know when they aren’t so prevalent but before I do the hike again I will definitely find out. Note: we did this hike years ago even though it says 2021, we just couldn’t go back further. Travel date relevant for hotels and restaurants, not so much for hikes. That mountain you can see, it’s probably still going to be there in a decade.Written 15 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michele G-WLondon, Canada427 contributionsThe Parkway was right behind where we were staying in Banff. We didn't bike it but did drive it and it's beautiful. If you go around 7:30/8pm you'll see wildlife. We saw Elk and Black Bear.Written 25 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PaulaDDuckToronto, Canada191 contributionsIt had snowed overnight, so the surrounding trees and some of the trail were snow covered, so it was handy to have proper hiking boots and poles. It is a steady upward climb. As we neared the top, the wind and snow increased; however, we were lucky that shortly thereafter, the wind dropped, the snow stopped and a glimmer of sun appeared on the Saskatchewan glacier, the valley, the waterfall and surrounding peaks. Soon the wind and snow picked up again. It took us about 2 hours round trip including stopping for pictures. Well worth the effort!Written 21 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michele G-WLondon, Canada427 contributionsBanff Ave has something for everyone. There are all types of shops (clothing, chocolate, soaps) and restaurants for even the picky eaters!
It does get very busy so I recommend going early. This will also allow you to find close parking. Parking is paid or free at the Train Station.
Great place to people watchWritten 25 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Vickers55Cambridge, UK581 contributionsLovely little lake and so quiet compared to the melee of lake Louise. All the little lakes in this area have the same combination of emerald gree water and nouveau a with reflections. So much better to see in isolation than with loads of othersWritten 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MentgscKathmandu, Nepal15 contributionsOur bus driver timed our visit to Spiral Tunnels perfectly as we waited less than 5 minutes to a vey long freight train start to weave in and out of the Spiral tunnelsWritten 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- leslie D2 contributionsThe staff was excellent, our rooms were comfortable. I enjoyed the atmosphere, watching elk graze a marmots sing in the morning :)Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LindaJP4Toronto, Canada29 contributionsWe stopped here on our drive of the Lake Minnewanka area. The ponds are a picture of beauty! Great place for a stroll or a picnic. Loved watching the groundhogs pop in and out of their burrows! A must see spot!Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- buttercup1211Winnipeg, Canada1,598 contributionsWe took this trail after having lunch and it was a perfect way to spend an hour or so just walking along the river. The falls at the end of the trail is a nice treat. Super easy, flat walk but can get a bit crowded. We took the trail on the left side and it was much quieter.Written 3 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Stephanie F2 contributionsHad a great time rafting, even though it was cold and rainy—the guides had us all laughing and enjoying the entire experience, and after awhile no one noticed the weather because we were all bundled up in fleeces and wetsuits. By the end my teen girls jumped in the freezing water on a dare and now have a memory they’ll never forget. We warmed up with hot chocolate at the end with the whole group and made a lot of new friends. Thanks to Taedhg for keeping us in the raft and telling the best stories along the way.Written 29 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

The information from the guide was very useful and interesting.Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Gayle P15 contributionsOur guides visited with each group on the bus so we could plan our day. They marked our schedule on the itinerary so we would know when to get back on the bus, and everything worked out perfectly. We were able to visit the most popular places and not worry about parking. We were very happy with this tour.Written 18 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
