- JFLeBlancMoncton, Canada3,316 contributionsRecently visited this location which is the birth place of Parks Canada. The cave itself is way smaller than I thought but still very cool to see.
Staff members were professional and helpful.
I highly recommend.Written 6 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Michele G-WLondon, Canada427 contributionsBanff Ave has something for everyone. There are all types of shops (clothing, chocolate, soaps) and restaurants for even the picky eaters!
It does get very busy so I recommend going early. This will also allow you to find close parking. Parking is paid or free at the Train Station.

- campboydwestCharlotte, NC58 contributionsWe loved the convenience of the Roam Buses. Literally took you everywhere in Banff. Great Service and so easy to use. Lots of pick up locations - each one with a digital sign saying when the next two pickups were scheduled. Best public transportation system ever!Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sharon RTucson, Arizona227 contributionsThe family own the site and there are amazing artifacts. The guide had tons of interesting facts. Loved the bead work and some of the history.Written 18 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mark HPenrith, UK54 contributionsThis is a large museum with various elements. I was particularly gripped by the stories of the creation of the National park, and the various debates and challenges. The museum was free to enter when we visited, so this gave us an excuse to spend some money in the excellent book shop! I bought a book on the history of Banff national park which I was gripped by for the remainder of our stay in the park.Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- leslie D2 contributionsThe staff was excellent, our rooms were comfortable. I enjoyed the atmosphere, watching elk graze a marmots sing in the morning :)Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jerry A10 contributionsAmazing architecture; very glad they saved this historic building. Nice collection of stuffed animals mostly from the park. Has a good story of preservation and conservation.Written 24 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Amanda_B109Edmonton, Canada414 contributionsAbsolutely love this gallery. We have bought many things over the years from jewelry to paintings. Service is outstanding. I am in Edmonton and watch their emails, in case I see something I want! I bought a painting last month, delivered to us promptly and well packaged and safe on arrival!Written 8 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- jmch491Washington DC, DC89 contributionsThis house is along a street with other historic houses, and it is worthwhile to stop in. In addition to a lovely arrangement of objects showing how this family lived, the garden is beautiful!Written 26 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- silmarillisydney197 contributionsThe resort is located in a nice and quiet area in Banff. The room was spacious but very dated. I wasn’t feeling comfortable and couldn’t relax as all the soft furnishings (i.e. the sofas, chairs, cushions) all looked rather dirty. The bathroom and the bed linens were clean though. The biggest draw card of this place are the water slides. They are big and fun and free for hotel guests. If you have children, it’s definitely a good place to keep them entertained. If the resort can put some efforts in to replacing the soft furnishings in the rooms, it would be a good place to stay in Banff.Written 1 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BenLar137Calgary, Canada14,059 contributionsNot too many people would go into a museum just to learn about the history of skiing, so it's a win-win that they have these informative displays in the Cascade Shops mall. It makes the time in the mall more interesting and the museum gets to tell its story. Banff has quite a storied history relating to skiing, and it was fun to take a dip in the information.Written 1 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
