Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a very interesting Museum. We enjoyed all the art work and the Authentic Historical pieces on display. The amount of catalogued Cultural History here is staggering. One could spend days on going through the archives all about the Rocky Mountains. Very well done.
We did not get to see the historic log homes due to time constraints.

Stopped here on a really cold day as a break to warm up. It's includes in the discovery pass if you have it otherwise it was fairly inexpensive. Lots of taxidermy and a fairly small space. It was interesting to see all the different birds and the very well preserved animals. They do not add to collection anymore in the same manner they collected a hundred years ago. Only took about 45 minutes to see everything.

A real treasure. All of the family’s original things. Lynne the docent was welcoming and so knowledgeable. What a fun find. Donations appreciated. This family was a big part of Banff history. Daughter had 4 college degrees and lived in the house until her death 1994 or 1995. She set up a foundation to preserve the house and history. Amazing family.
