Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sunday afternoon cricket in the sports field. Family at picnic tables under shade tents.
Walk in the shallows along the shore. Beach is a red sand beach which gathers a little more seaweed. Nature lovers will find snails and small crabs in shallows. No cheek to jowl crowds to step around.

I was lucky enough to be here at the beginning of the growing season. The combination of vividly patchwork fields, the red clay, green swathes and vibrant yellow (dandelions to help keep the bee population up) and vast water made this a gloriously memorable ride. Beaches, cliffs, rolling fields - this drive has it all.

The local HOA is doing their best to make it difficult to visit…That’s so wrong.
This lighthouse was here long before the hoa and their homeowners.

It’s a cool lighthouse as all lighthouses are. Lighthouses are built by the community to save lives…Kinda inclusion as opposed to the exclusion being attempted.

    Please visit.

The cottages here must have been gorgeous when new, but while they are huge (3 generous bedrooms, a great room, two full bathrooms), they are very dated and need some work. Our unit smelled somewhat musty/damp, although linens were clean. The ceiling in the roof looked like it might have had leaks in the past and the outside of the roof had us hoping it wouldn't rain. Inside was very clean. Porch and BBQ looked somewhat dilapidated. Lots of mosquitos, too so no bbqing. The "golf course" may have at one time been nice, but now seems neglected. Even the office where you pay looks neglected and the golf clubs in there are ancient. My eight year old daughter commented that the trailer park beside the cottages looked like a place where "trailers come to die". The owners were nice enough, but despite the space we left feeling that we had paid too much for a sub-standard cottage. If you don't mind the feel of camping and have a large crew to house cheaply this might be the place for you.

Excellent location, good parking. Wide and varied selection and very fair pricing. A great place to stop and shop for excellent produce.

    PEI cycling review

    Flexible
    On time or early
    Competent
    Friendly
    Accommodating
    Experienced
Passionate about providing an excellent service

Stacey and Cynthia created a plan for our bike trip that was flexible, scenic, and enjoyable. Our route made good use of the Confederation Trail and local lightly used “country” roads. PEI Cycling was both flexible and accommodating in picking us up at the campground in Cornwall where we left our RV while doing the bike ride. At the end of the ride, they brought us back to the RV campground.

Stacey did a great job of using technology and was able to track us as we wandered across the island. We appreciated her availability to bail us out on a very hot day in the middle of our ride.

I felt like we were able to hit all the high points that we wanted to see while visiting Prince Edward Island. When we chose to or needed to use a paved highway, the other drivers generally gave us a lot of room and did not leave me feeling unsafe while riding.

We brought our own bikes so cannot speak to the quality or comfort of what they supply.

Lodging selected by PEI Cycling was clean, comfortable, and usually air conditioned. We particularly enjoyed the smaller properties with onsite owners.

We generally took their suggestions for lunch and dinner options, but it was nice to have the ability to make other choices on the fly.

I believe we only ran into one small bakery that did not accept electronic payments and we probably only needed about $60 Canadian cash during our weeklong bike ride.

Fantastic experience! Very educational and professional. Tour guide ((Ashkan) was very accommodating and it felt as though he customized the tour for us. Very affordable and well worth the cost.

What an absolute fabulous day we just spent with Craig @ Island Paddleboard Adventures! Not only was he very knowledgeable and helpful, he was super fun and made us all feel so comfortable trying this sport for the very first time. I would HIGHLY recommend taking part in this amazing activity with Craig. We felt like we knew him forever. Super cool guy, super cool activity, super affordable!!!!. Thanks again for lessons, laughs and amazing day! Can't wait to get back to PEI to try it again next year. I would rate this as a 5 star PEI experience - hands down. All the best and hope to see you next summer.
