Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’m not really a skier so booked for the 2 hour lesson while the rest of the family hit the slopes. Daniel, the instructor for the six of us was great. So patient and with lots of good tips. I mostly stayed on the nursery slopes as that was where I was happiest. It’s a smaller very family friendly ski field. Good cafe & seating outside in the sun. We picked a stunning day & couldn’t have asked for any more. What a beautiful place.

Apart from there being a little bit of yellow snow around, the place is actually really nice. I just love the peacocks that walk around freely and the talk deer, Peter who has a vocabulary of 4 words - Hi, Bye, Ahh and Eww.

We had a really great hike on these trails in April. They were a bit slippery and steep in places, but the pay off was some really great scenery. The Gaia GPS app we had on our phones helped us to plan a route and find the trails we wanted to walk.

Chris and Del's ability to give my travellers an insight into the operation of and what life is like on a New Zealand sheep farm is incredible. A highlight of many of our travellers' visit to Canterbury it is always great to introduce visitors to NZ to people who you know are going to give them a great experience.

We loved our stop at this sheep farm which was included a part of the TranzAlpine day long tour. The farm owners Trevor and Heather gave us such a fascinating look at their farm and farm life, including a sheep shearing and mustering demonstration. We enjoyed learning about the various wools and their processing. We also appreciated the tea and cookies and made purchases at their small shop of sweaters and woolens. After traveling through New Zealand we wished we had shopped more at the farm.

On our drive from Hokitika to Christchurch and after Arthur's Pass this provided a nice stop to stretch our legs. Other than the Homer Simpson style donut there is also a children's park a convenience store and a couple of restaurants in the area. There was plenty of free parking when we stopped here and we got a good picture opportunity.

Omg! What an amazing experience. Took this excursion whilst on a cruise, so came with a coach full of shipmates. The guys were so friendly. We were fitted with life vests and split into 2 groups to go on the boat. Our boat pilot, Paul, was amazing. We sped along the Waimakariki river at about 75kmh swinging left, right and making hilarious (and wet) 360 degree turns. What an absolute adrenaline rush. Definitely recommend and would love to go again! Cant wait to see the photos....
