What travellers are saying
- Marta CItaly30 contributionsLoved the idea of a park with multiple cenotes (5). In this park you can see all three types of existing cenotes (open cenotes, semi-open and underground).
You can also visit the park without a guide, but I strongly suggest to do a tour since you have access to the underground river and to a further cenote otherwise closed. We loved the tour with our guide Henry, who was clear in the explanations and knows several languages. Lunch was included in the experience and was ok, quite abundant. The tour includes life-jackets and water shoes.
The tour was about 2 hours, but after that you have lunch and some more time to explore the others cenotes; so in total count about 3/4 hours.Written 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - HeatherSt. Albans, UK1 contributionRamon and the team were great. Introducing us to the dolphins, manatee’s and then snorkelling. Lunch was included and plenty of time to do everything. Booked via Tui with pictures included.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- S WBristol, UK14 contributionsIf you’re looking for a laid back, low-key beach away from the crowds and mass market of Cancún this is for you. Nice cocktails, seafood and beach huts, perfect fine white sand. Only down side is the omnipresent sargassum seaweed. More needs to be done by the government and businesses to find a sustainable solution to it!Written 13 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mark BAlberta, Canada7 contributionsShort walk from our resort (Catalonia). We should have skipped the trip to Playa Del Carmen and shopped here instead. You must visit Nauti Burro!Written 14 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jacob WSalt Lake City, UT3 contributionsThe staff was friendly. So were the dolphins. But they tried to charge us $45 for a digital file of a single souvenir photo. Um...NO!Written 9 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Amazing excursion!Written 13 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Doug1 contributionThe only negative we had is they charge 800 pesos for a chair, you are better off bringing your own and sitting on the beach, you can still use the bar and washroomsWritten 15 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- kims1214Hobart, IN76 contributionsPath is a little grown up now but still easily walkable. Was on the lookout for crocodile but didn't see any.Written 28 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- slonichekLos Angeles, CA878 contributionsAmazing place, simply breathtaking water and staloctites and stalagmites. Beautiful lighting that makes this place a fairy tale.
Few things it lacks. Guide does not speak english. Few words can be memorized to explain where and what. Road that leads to the cenote looks like road to a lost world, but our Volkswagen sedan made it safely round trip.Written 5 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Erika H45 contributionsCute little museum tucked away in the main part of Puerto Aventuras. There isn't a whole lot of advertising or signage so it's easy to miss.
It's a small place, upstairs (no handicap access), and there is usually no one there besides the one person at the front desk (I live here and have been a few times).
It's free admission which is nice! Very interesting artifacts and history of shipwrecks and local dive team which found the artifacts. Mostly little trinkets and silverware and glasses and things--no load of jewels or gold or Hope diamond! But still interesting. Little kids--and bratty teens like mine, would be bored, but it's a quick, free, and air conditioned thing to do while visiting Puerto Aventuras.Written 13 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - RCITPuerto Aventuras, Mexico340 contributionsWhite sand, gorgeous turquoise warm water - what's not to like?
Never feels crowded even in high season - snorkeling is good here.Written 23 October 2012This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Mary LWindsor, Canada107 contributionsWe loved this beach, while my husband and son snorkelled I just floated in 2 feet of water for an hour. It is crystal clear and sandy and you. an walk way out in shallow water. Very nice beach with drinks served nearby.Written 8 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Klg32London, UK32 contributionsIf you want a unique, memorable and truly special experience during your holiday, book a tour with Richard!
I found Richard back in 2020 and booked a private tour to the cenotes and Tulum by boat to see the lighthouse then snorkeling. Unfortunately covid put paid to our 2020 trip but Richard honoured our deposit and I am so glad we were able to take the tour during our 2022 holiday.
We're a family of 4, 2 children aged 8 and 11. Richard made us all feel so comfortable and at ease, he was funny, knowledgeable and extremely kind. We felt totally safe and at ease the whole time.
It's absolutely worth the early start, we had a fully private experience swimming in the caves at the cenote which will be a memory we'll all cherish forever. Richard took amazing videos and photos for us throughout out trip. He expertly guided us away from the crowds and encouraged our youngest child to fully embrace the experience of jumping into the cenotes, which he loved!
After the cenotes we headed into Tulum onto a private boat to view the Mayan lighthouse then snorlkelled just the 4 of us with a kind and knowledgeable guide. We were lucky enough to see sting rays, turtles and plenty of fish. Richard and the crew helped us all enjoy the experience to the absolute max.
After all that action we settled down at a gorgeous beach bar to enjoy a couple of beers and lunch in the sunshine.
Before the trip I was concerned about the long drive, we're staying in Playa Mujeres so it was a 4 hour round trip. But honestly the journey didn't feel long because Richard was full of interesting chat and stories, and it was the best decision we made to take the trip.
We can't wait to come back and experience another tour with Richard!Written 13 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
