If you go to the island you can go with a tour or by yourselves. We did by ourselves this time and enjoyed more because you weren't stuck with a schedule, have to go to the restaurants they want etc. We caught a taxi from Ixtapa to Playa Linda, paid at the boat booth, caught the "lancha" and landed. We were able to rent snorkle equipment from any of the palapas and enjoyed exploring the island at our leasure for less money then tour. We recommend eating at Tres Sirenas restaurant and their Huachnango plate. So good!

This is the primary beach for the hotel zone. It is pretty much the perfect beach - wide, flat, soft sand both above and below the water level. We were very impressed with how clean it is - no seaweed type issues and No trash at all. Very popular with tourists and locals all day, very family friendly.

Shady and safe! If you need a place to stop and refresh on the way, playa linda has lovely cafes on one end and Tanto Vida in Ixtapa also awesome!

The Delfinti is very good. It is alittle off the beaten path so get directions. It is near an hour of petting ,watching and swimming with the dolphins. Very nice. The place is pricey because it is unque . They do not allow you to photograph your loved ones with the dolphins because they want to sell you pictures.

Lots of great information. Our greeter at the door was warm , inviting and full of knowledge. She spoke english very well and you could tell she was passionate about her occupation.
Take your time it's a wealth of information.

What a lovely little gem of a place! We were staying at Club Med Ixtapa and it was a short water taxi to come over for snorkle and lunch.

Beautiful beach, highly recommended, try the Neptuno Restaurant in entrance of the beach, just before you go hill down. Try the “tiras de pescado”

One of our party while walking on the beach met Ismael Sanchez 755-111-7973 who encouraged us to go over to Ixtapa Island. We did this with Ismael as our guide the next day. He set us up with the best table at his little restaurant recommended what to order showed us where the best snorkeling was and kept us supplied with Caronas, and an excellent meal of fresh Dorado. It was an incredible day in very beautiful place and at a very reasonable price. A few days later Ismael set us up with a morning fishing trip. Our captain Marco got us into some great fishing almost immediately. We ended up catching 16 black fin tuna between the 6 of us. We also had dolphins performing beside the boat and whales in the distance. At noon Marco dropped us off on the island and Ismael met us at the dock, he took some of our catch and cooked it up and served it to us on the beach at his restaurant. It made for a day none of us will forget and once again at a very reasonable cost.
Give Ismael a call at 755-111-7973 he delivered what he promised and at a reasonable price, an honest friendly guy.

Yes, you need to be a guest at the Las Brisas to swim at this beach
but that is the beauty of it. No vendors, beach waiters and fun waves if you dare.
I have been to this resort 9 times and have never stepped on a rock in the water.

if you expect seaworld like scenes this is not for you.
a few slides and pools is what it is. A practical location within walking distance from almost every hotel in Ixtapa, inexpensive food, not fancy but decent and clean, gerat place for a day with children around. enjoyed once in our stay

We are avid golfers ... and when going on vacations Golf Clubs are a part of our luggage.
We heard about this course and was only 10min away from our hotel, always a great option when wanting to come back quickly.
The Course was pretty bang up after the Quake in 2017 ... and this has taken a toll on its once beautiful fairways and challenging sand traps. The last ones are non existing now, so grass has replaced the sand. The course its pretty challenging and a tough one at parts, this makes it a cool one to do, but you feel left out of the full experience when you have to Winter Rule your ball at almost every two or three holes. But still for the price and closeness ... and if you are not an demanding golfer ... then you are good to go in it ... just remember to bring cheap or second hand balls ... cause well ... I lost over 12 new balls in the course of 3 days.

One of the nicest casinos we have visited in Mexico. First drink on the house for players and inexpensive afterwards. Smoking allowed in table game area. Blackjack tables had 50 peso minimum bet. Would return again.

This is a small art museum located on the lovely CUC campus in Ixtapa. It is next to the reptile enclosure which is interesting in itself. The art museum with it's friendly staff and student assistants has special exhibits that change and has permanent art. There is a guarded parking lot that you can park in and then it's a short walk (signs will direct you) to the art museum. It is not open on the weekends. They have limited resources which makes finding information about the museum difficult. If you have time, it's best to go and check it out and enjoy!
