If you enjoy People Watching, Craft Fairs, Restaurants, Bars, Souveneer Shopping, Bartering and a busy tourist atmosphere you should enjoy this place. At least worth one visit while your visiting Playa Del Carmen. ( It was pre-covid, actually went before June but the ap only went back to June ) The streets were very busy with tourists so reading some more current covid time revues I think there aren't as many tourists on the street so the few are getting hustled more by vendors. Hopefully this won't be so bad when Covid subsides and more tourists return. If you buy a boat tour shop around don't buy the first one, we found a less expensive one literally less than a block after we bought a tour, same goes for the Tequila vendors. Probably anything you buy shop because lots of the same stuff at the shops. there are some good restaurants and bars, we found a great very nice, fairly priced seafood restaurant on a corner with patio seating to watch the show, don't remember the name though, ask the concierge at your hotel or cab drivers, will tell you where the good authentic Mexican food is cheap, hit a Farmacia for any over the counter medication like Cipro if you get Montezumas Revenge, many meds are OTC that you would need a prescription for in the U.S. Felt safe taking the cabs at the time the standard rate was $10 American dollars for about an 8 minute ride, stayed in Plyacar which you could walk in 15 - 20 minutes.
