Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.

Shoutout to Pancho. Was always alert on helping us out and was at his service. The horse riding and banana boat were super fun!

This was my favorite beach of the three we visited in Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. The sand was soft. The water was nice with perfect waves for boogie boarding. The service was very attentive and the food was pretty good (wouldn't have minded a little more of it...) The banana boat ride was fun. My kids loved the horseback riding. The fun part was that our table for the lunch was right next to the people who had booked the excursion through the cruise we were on, but they paid a lot more for it than we did booking it through Tripadvisor. We literally took the same shuttles, same boat out to the island, sat right next to them, and had the same meal and activities. The only complaint we had was that there were jellyfish in the water, which stung some of the people in our party, but that was not the excursion's fault.
Bottom line, we were very pleased with the excursion and would highly recommend it!

This tour was a hit with all of my in laws! Highly recommend it. The four wheeling was a blast and we were about to stop on the beach. Lunch was delicious as well. You will get to sample about 9 different flavors/ types of tequila and have table side queso made!

Suzanna the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful with a great sense of humor. Tequila tour was interesting and enjoyable. The old Mexican village was fun and the traditional meal was an unforgettable experience

The hike we took on Deer Island was a bit more challenging than expected, and the entire activity was not very structured. Overall, we had fun though.

I highly recommend booking with this private airport shuttle transfer service!! My wife and I visited Mazatlan for our anniversary and everything was great. From the moment we arrived at arrivals, David waited for us inside the terminal and escorted us to the vehicle. He welcomed us and chit chatted with us the whole ride. He recommended restaurants and places to visit. Amazing amazing service and I would definitely book again with him! Don’t hesitate and book him!

    The good:

The lunch was the best we have ever had on any excursion in any country. Legit, wonderful Mexican food.

The people are kind and helpful.

The location is in a small town, Veranos. Very cool to get off the beaten path.

    The bad:

Hot. Hot. Hot. We went in June. I would not go again unless it was in October to February. All the plant life was dead and we baked. Rainy season is July. Then all the green comes to life and makes it much better.

We came in two vans. One had no AC. An hour drive with no AC with 10 people in the van. Rough.

Check in at the cruise terminal was chaotic. We pre-purchased with Viator. They sent specific instructions with pictures of a guy who is there “every day” and specific instructions on the color of shirt. Neither were true. We eventually asked around and got there. Because we were already pre-purchased, he kept neglecting us to take funds from cruise passengers that were paying in cash. Not a crazy big deal, but annoying in the scope of things.

Overall, in the right time of year I think it would be a great excursion.

Absolutely wonderful!!!! Hubby & I had Carlos Mendas as our personal guide. We could choose p/u time. Went to see Malpica, Concordia & Copala. Carlos extremely knowledgeable about history & culture. Provided beer, water, soda and a fabulous lunch. Very calm, relaxing tour we could do at our own pace... .HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Booked Carlos thru Nexus Tours. This is not your typical touristy thing

The best tour ever and I cannot say enough about the team that works with the tours.

First, let me start with the integrity of the team. My husband was sitting on a bench while waiting for the tour guide, and his phone slid out of his pocket. Half way through the excursion, he realized he didn’t have his phone. We back tracked and went back to all spots with no luck. At the end of the tour, we went back to the main desk to check lost and found. Thankfully, one of the other tour guides found the phone and turned it in.

Now, let’s get to the tour and my amazing tour guide Carlos. Carlos was set out for 100% satisfaction and even when we said he didn’t need to do something, he still did it. He made sure to check everything on our list that we wanted to do. Additionally, his positive attitude and patience truly made the difference. Great recommendations and overall an amazing day. I will absolutely be back.

This tour allows you to explore the island on your own at your own speed verses feeling rushed or having to leave something out. Thank you Carlos for an amazing day!

We had a blast on this tour. Never rode an ATV before, but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy. We were on the ATV’s about 45 minutes, and then we had lunch and tasted tequila. Was a great place to spend a few hours. Would recommend and we would do this tour again. Super fun.

Maaike’s tour started with a delicious shrimp starter close to the docks, initiating our group of 5 to a street restaurant preparing our meal on site. She explained why seafood is best in the early hours, gave historical backgrounds to what we were experiencing, and provided so much local information! Living here, being willing to share, and providing diverse menu options, Flavour Teller has allowed us the opportunity to explore food in front of us that we would likely not have tried. Most tourists would walk into more conventional restaurants; instead we were eating like locals, having awesome food at every stop, while opening our eyes to venturing into new venues. Highly recommend!

The tour was very rushed. Our guide seemed to rush through areas that might be interesting and take us to specific shops in the markets that she knew the people. We went to a jewelry store and wasted a lot of time there that cold have been better used else where. The only part that was interesting was the cathedral. The tour was with Vista Tours in the 15 passenger van.
