Absolutely breathtaking beach with clear waters all around. Very busy with all different tours there so it can be hard to find a decent spot to sit on the beach.
Food and drink refreshments are available a few feet inland as well as toilets but bear in mind the toilets are not the cleanest.
Make sure you have decent footwear on the sand as it’s coral sand and can be uncomfortable to walk on.

Beautiful views from 3 or 4 different locations. A lot of steps involved so take some water. There are shops at each viewpoint but charge more the higher you go. And 50 baht entrance fee plus 20 baht for the toilet.
But beautiful views are found easily on a sunny day.

A beautiful beach for swimming and people watching. Be prepared as the shade is challenging to find on a scorching day. This beach is crowded but worth the trip for a day.

I was at both locations during my most recent Thailand excursion and Ko Phi Phi Le is about equidistant from each location, so if you’re staying in these locations, it’s a must do. Yes, if you visit during high season, it’s going to be crowded, but so what. It’s still a must see. If in New York, will you not see Times Square if it’s crowded? And it’s crowded in Ko Phi Phi Le because it’s stunning. Would it be better if it was deserted and the answer is of course it would be. Just go with the expectation that it will be heavily populated and it won’t feel so bad and disappoint you. The views and pictures you’ll have outweigh the negatives of the crowds for sure.

We stayed in the AO Nang area at Hotel called Anda Sea Tales, lovely hotel with a stunning roof top infinity pool. Two main beaches Nopharat and A O Nang, both beaches were nice, clean and not overcrowded. The sea was lovely and warm.
AONang is the main tourist part with shops and bars just off the beach. Nopharat is quieter and has a great night market where you can get good value delicious street food and live entertainment. Only downside is the amount of long boats with there noisy engines however you get used to them.
From AONang we walked to the beautiful beach of Pai Plong which is accessed on foot through a jungle headland with monkeys, bit of a steep climb but well worth the effort.
Raleigh beach via longboat is a must do, cheap exciting journey and beautifully beaches and scenery to explore or just relax. Great place.

We visited Monkey Beach (Monkey Island) as part of a speed boat tour from Phuket and had read some of the reviews regarding the monkeys so were a little cautious. The beach was not crowded the monkeys simply went about their everyday activities and playing. The monkeys are generally not interested in you and it's best to leave them alone. We loved the water. The beach is thin, the sand fine, and the water is very transparent and turquoise. The beach and area are beautiful, but be extremely careful around the monkeys.

This is not a huge Night Market for trinkets and souvenirs, although there are a few stalls. Ao Nang Landmark Night Market is more of a meeting place for locals and tourists to gather, listen to live music, and eat. There are a plethora of food stalls here ranging from hotdogs and baked potatoes to crocodile meat and everything in between including all of your Thai dishes. It’s a happy atmosphere here and gets very crowded so be aware of that and keep your youngsters close. If you can, go earlier than 6, and have someone in your part get a seat. You’ll thank me later because there’s limited seating by the stage and every night, there is live music. If you can, bring a small stool because we had to stand and eat and that’s not fun with young children.

This was one of the first stop on a four island private tour o a longboat. Utter bliss, Very few people when we got there and we could spend as much time as we wanted, No rushing off with a group.
This was two little islands separated by a sandbar. You could walk from one end to the other. The water was clear as expected and it was shallow so you could walk out a bit. The beauty of the place has to be seen to be believed.

Poda island was a worthwhile trip - not far from Ao Nang, lots of shade, lovely scenery. Arrangement with our group on water taxi worked well.

We were staying at the Centara Grand and used this a lot as a means of coming and going from the hotel to Ao Nang. If walked at the right times (morning and dusk/evening) then this is absolutely doable for most able bodied people - our 5 year old son was happily able to do it.
However, it’s steep in places so you need a head for heights and if you’re generally unfit or struggle walking it might be more difficult…..
Loads of monkeys around - still silly people feeding them despite the signs! Dusk is best time to see them in their family groups

Gorgeous beach which looks out onto Bamboo and Mosquito islands. Sand is white, the sea is calm, blue and clear and it's perfect for swimming. Some bars and eateries here for lunch and dinner and a handful of hotel-resorts. Come here to chill out and enjoy the beach. There is a taxi service at the end of the beach which will take you to Loh Bagao Bay (which has 2 further stunning beaches) in a mere ten minutes. This way, you can enjoy 3 of the finest Phi Phi beaches in just hours without any effort. It's 100 baht to Loh Bagao Bay

We took a long tail boat from Ao Nang to Railay. You have to make a bit of a trek but it’s worth it. The walk there is cool as you explore the island. As you arrive, you’ll see a multitude of guests clamoring around lizards and mischievous monkeys. Then you’ll see a cave with offerings to fertility gods. It’s worth some pictures, but it’s difficult to get some private shots as the place is relatively crowded.
