Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Brendan SArlington, VA1,688 contributionsI was not expecting a lot at the art museum for a small Caribbean nation that has only been independent for 50 years. But the colorful pieces here certainly evoke a Bahaman style. Most of the art has a victim and oppression theme, which is also fitting for a country that is both entirely dependent on yet loathes the tourists and the national subservience to tourist interests. While the Museum itself isn’t that big, they fill the walls with the art, though photos aren’t allowed. There is also a sculpture garden, but there are only a few, very abstract pieces here. It’s a one hour museum on the whole.Written 17 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kathleen D1 contributionI took a landscape print class with Shanise and had a blast. She was a great instructor and helped me make some lovely keepsake prints that I will enjoy as a memory of my time in the Bahamas. Her class gave me just the right amount of instruction and freedom to be creative. I plan on signing up for more classes at the Current because they offered such quality instruction and a unique experience for part of my trip. It was a lovely offering for when I didn’t want to be out on a boat or in the water for a few hours! Many thanks to them!Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MaryNew Orleans, LA14 contributionsIt is worth the short trip from downtown to visit Junkanoo World. This is the real deal - run by a family who participate in Junkanoo. In fact, generations of their family have an organization that "rush" in Junkanoo. We learned the history, saw some of the spectacular costumes, and had a drum and cowbell lesson. It's a museum, but it's also the place where the group meets to design and make costumes. So much more of an authentic experience. My sister and I very much enjoyed our visit and meeting the family.Written 2 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Relaxed vibe, great food. Wonderful chat at the bar with Chris at the end of the evening.
