Always a fun day on this beach. Water taxi from cruise terminal $15 return per person though I believe you can take a bus for $1 but probably nit as fun. Beach is clean and sea clear. Lots of sun beds and umbrellas for hire. Free Wi-Fi and small market place with drinks, souvenirs and spices for sale.

Amazing project with great snorkeling. Recommend going on your own journey without a tour if possible. However fine if you have to. We anchored around the corner and dingied in

Impressive falls, but sadly men were hassling us to give them money to jump off.
The falls were nice but not better than some waterfalls in the UK.

Don't miss a fascinating visit to this Grenada rum factory where locally grown sugar cane is still turned into rum the old fashioned way with a waterwheel and wood burning distillation. The tour is comprehensive, informative and a true 'behind the scenes' peek into rum production. Tasty samples were graciously offered at the end so we could fully appreciate their amazing hard work. One of the highlights of our Grenada trip!

What a highly informative guided tour for such a reasonable price. Was really good to find out how the cocoa goes from pod to bar. And to be able to taste the process as we went along. Would recommend anyone to go and find out how your chocolate turns into what we love to eat. Really interesting

Stunning beach stayed here for 7 nights. Very beautiful and tranquil except when cruise ship rhum runner arrives for 90 mins some days, but no bother.
About 5 bars they flexed as to who opened. 3 food options, beautiful apartments we stayed in and some stunning private homes. Never crowded, calm sea and tranquil. Small 1-2 metre band of shingle just as you enter sea, but otherwise pure sand and no bother.
Sun bed chaps lovely 12 ecd per day. Loved this beach we will be back. NOT like the Grand Anse Benidorm packed beach …. Phew

This little place is a gem! From the chocolate tasting demo, to the cafe, and the merchandise, it is a place to see. We had a piece of chocolate cake, tried some chocolates and a mocha. Top notch!

Sandy Island was hard hit by Hurricane Beryl on July 1, 2024. In November 2024 I was able to revisit the island, primarily to check out the snorkeling, but also to be joyfully off the grid for a few hours. The vegetation from the middle of the island to the west tip is pretty much gone, but the eastern half still offers some shade. I am happy to report that the snorkeling off the east tip of the island is still very good.

It is absolutely stunning. If you have enough time, you can swim in the water so do bring a swimming costume!

However, as is typical of a lot of places in the Caribbean, the experience was made somewhat less pleasant due to the amount of people trying to sell you something. Especially spice necklaces, which they will practically shove in your face and was really unpleasant as I hate the smell of nutmeg.

There are some steep bits and stairs, so it is not very accessible for those who can not walk far or on uneven surfaces.

Friday 17th January this was the first stop on our all day Jamboulay Tour of the island.

After passing through Concord we turned off the main road and drove up what can only be described as a country lane, Concord Mountain.

The lane wound it's way upwards through the Concord Forest until we reached the small parking area at the end of the lane.

Our Guide estimated that the Water fall is around 1,500 feet above sea level.

Along the roadside there are a number of colourfully painted small shops selling spices and souvenirs as well as a bar.

This is not a place for people with mobility problems as we had to climb down a good number of steps to the pool at the bottom of the waterfall for the best views.

At the bottom of the steps we looked up to the cliff to the top of the waterfall which cascades down to form a pool at the base of the cliff.

One of the guys, associated with the Waterfall, completed a daring stun by jumping from the top of the cliff into the pool below. There were tip boxes around where could we could show our appreciation.

A couple of brave souls on the Tour actually get into the pool for a swim. There were changing rooms and a shower by the car park area.

The waterfall is surrounded by the forest which is filled with trees and bushes bearing fruits and spices, including nutmeg

Climbing back up to the road, we visited the shops. In a cage alongside one of shops there were a couple of Mona Monkeys, never seen them before.

Wednesday 15th January, was the first time we walked here , Royalton Grenada where we stayed from 12th to 26th January.

Here is located at the far end of the beach beyond the section reserved for the Hotel's Diamond Club guests.

At one end of this beach, nearest the Hotel, there was a small beach bar hut, The Shack. It was closed up when we were here, don't think it has been open in a long while.

At this end of the beach there was nothing here, visitors spread their towels and beach mats on the golden sand or sat on the beach chairs they brought with them. The only shade was provided by the large leafed trees along the beach.

At the far end of the beach by the cliffs and rocks is the Aquarium bar/restaurant, with it's two storeys and wooden veranda. There are a number of sunbeds here for their customers to use.

Towards the rear of the beach there was a car park, from here the narrow road, concrete strip, led back up to the main road.

At the time of our visit the beach was almost deserted, the noisiest thing was the waves of the Caribbean Sea rolling on to the beach.
