- A KWilmington, NC38 contributionsI must do while you’re in Curaçao, walk across the floating pontoon Bridge, and make sure you go night so you can admire the lights.Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MaplehawkKelowna, Canada396 contributionsWent to learn about the local history around the slave trade. The museum was not as much about the local history as it is about the general slave trade history. Also large sections about African culture and art. Some amazing artifacts that are sadly deteriorating in the challenging climate control of this small museum.
Unfortunately did not allow enough time (60 minutes) to read and look at all the exhibits. Spent too much time on the non-slave related areas (guide map has next to no info and the staff did not provide any advice or ask if we wanted any).
Well worth a visit, recommend you go straight to the back left area with the slave trade exhibits.Written 24 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The tour guide was very nice and did a great job telling us about the cave and the history of the island. Definitely a fun activity to do if you are looking for something different than the beach.Written 14 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jessica MSaratoga Springs, NY160 contributionsOur tour guide Ingo was knowledgeable and fun! We loved learning about Blue Curacao and the other Curacao Liqueurs. The tasting was great and we all had a hard time choosing our cocktail after because there were so many delicious sounding choices on the menu. We all enjoyed relaxing and sipping our cocktail at the end of the tour.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I believe it is the highest bridge in the Caribbean
certainly quite breath-taking as you climb up to go over itWritten 23 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Just packed with people clogging everything up and not really doing anything. Just wasting the day and being in the way. Come after 3-4 pm for the best experience. Also note most things here can be purchased cheaper in punda just across the queen emma bridge less than a 10 minute walk .Written 20 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Teardrop Trailer TravelerUnited States754 contributionsCuracao's Otrobanda district lies along the waterfront. It's characterized by it's colorful buildings. There are several historic forts and buildings, and many shops and restaurants. This area is a great place of art lovers. There is art everywhere, include statues and sculptures and the walls of the buildings are covered in beautiful, colorful murals.Written 29 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
