What travellers are saying
- Gunnar9 contributionsThis place is just so wonderfully awe inspiring. The sheer amount of flowers, the verticality, arrangements and the calmness of the place taken together create a magical oasis. Mr Hunte, who sat among the guests in the small store/café having a chat and refreshments, was a wonderful and pleasant host. I will visit again!Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Hazel C1 contributionBeautiful bay, we stayed at the Radisson Aquatica which has racehorses visit the beach for a swim early each morning. Water is warm and clear. Hotel was ok but the main asset was the location.Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- James K3 contributionsWe had a great time the Guides Akeem and Kamal on what turned out to be our private zipline tour were great (only us booked in at that time slot) knowledgabal and kept us very safe.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SCMDJKWhiteAtlanta, GA270 contributionsI definitely recommend this!!
The only thing I would do differently… sign up for the Cocktail Workshop early. It books up days/weeks ahead!!
The tour is definitely worth $25.
You are greeted by the bartenders and a Planter Punch cocktail while you wait for the tour to start!
You will learn about the history, etc…
Then you will have 4 generous samples!
Your guide will explain how to drink/sip to release all of the flavors. It was very interesting!
There are rums in the gift shop that you can only buy there.
Thank you Akeel!

The Train ride was lovely and the stop at the top of the hill gave a beautiful view of the east coast of the island. We then visited the house and were guided by the amazing Virginia who told us the entire history of the house. We were shown the incredible Rum distillery and met Lady Warren. One then went to the Rum tasting and met Simon. It was such an amazing experience at The Abbey and well worth the visit. The cafe is well worth a visit as the view in the woods was absolutely tranquilWritten 9 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Emily M22 contributionsLovely beach to explore. Stunning sights with mammoth waves. We went looking for pretty rocks. So fun to watch the surfers.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DeniqueCoelumLarbert, UK1 contributionWe really enjoyed the tour (available at 11 AM and 2 PM) and the rum tasting - we thought it was excellent value for money (50BBD for the 'basic' rum tasting and 80BBD for the 'vintage' - our group did both). The rum is phenomenal. Our guide was very informative indeed. The shop is also great value for money - we stocked up on rum for ourselves and gifts for the folks back home!Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gunnar9 contributionsThe views out of the caves are nice, but not something I would feel a particular need to see again. The outside (and in contrast to the 40 BBD fee of the caves, free) views of the surrounding ocean and cliff faces were however magnificent, and well worth the drive! Would recommend shoes with good soles for the caves, as the rocks inevitable get wet and slippery and the surface is uneven.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SundayMilan, Italy14 contributionsOn my first day in Barbados I went to Miami Beach, also called Enterprise Beach. Early in the morning it is very peaceful. The water is so transparent that you can see fish. Close to the beach there are also showers with hot water. What a treat!Written 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
