Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were there for lunch, and the experience was simply wonderful. A very sophisticated venue with an excellent level of service. The family, definitely hands on, working hard even with a large staff. The wines are splendid and the city of Barollo is certainly a to do item. I highly recommend it

If you are looking for big, fancy and corporate wine tasting - this is not the place for you. If you want to be welcomed by the family who runs the vineyard , hear about the wines from the owner herself and see the family working at making the wine - then make a reservation. They do fill up!
We had a nice tasting with some little snacks . They speak wonderful English here too. We bought 2 bottles of the Red label Barolo. Really good and reasonably priced as well as some local hazelnut cookies. They box the wine for travel so we didn’t even need the wine bags we brought. Great local experience in countryside of Barolo.

Wow- we were blown away by the kindness and passion of this amazing staff! We came here on our honeymoon because I love their wine at home and had to see where it is produced! The tour guides were so knowledgeable and tailored the tasting to our tastes perfectly. They also made it really easy to ship bottles to the states. The winery itself is vast and has such a beautiful story. Highly recommend on your trip through the Piemonte region!!

The building stands out, no doubt about it. Interior is also very striking bright. Wine? Quite good price/quality. Also experiments with bottle shapes and colors. The important part - Canubio. It is a small area, slope which is well positioned to grow smooth Nebbiolo wines.

The tour guide -Maria Louisa- was very knowledgable and friendly. She knows the story of the Borgogno winery very well and has much knowledge about all different kind of wines, not only anout the estate wines.

The tasting was excellent and we even were able to choose some options that were not on the tasting menu. We we happy to take some beautiful wines with is and will surely order some more.

Reading the reviews it was clear that this visit would be a unique opportunity for those not in the wine trade to meet personally with the winemaker and our afternoon with Luca did not disappoint. His passion for his work and how personally he oversees all aspects of the wine making operation are clear. He explains all of this with joy and passion. He has the ability to understand that wine is meant to be enjoyed with friends and he dreams up and shares ways to pair wine with food to enhance the experience.

What the prior reviews cannot convey is how well made and special his wines are. They were a joy to drink and explore in the beautiful tasking room. These are wines we will try to seek out at home. We are so grateful for Luca's generous spirit and hope to see him and his family again some day.

The museum itself is located in a castle, offering a fanstatic view from the terrace, but the fact that the place where Barolo was born is not offering a welcome glass of Barolo is highly disappointing! The museum is quite modern, offering some digital presentations too.

This was such a fun activity - you actually paint with wine! No pressure, no rules, just fun. After a day of tasting wine, this was a nice way to spend an hour - laughing, painting and admiring Ryta's beautiful art. Highly recommend.

It was nice to see but not really about the castle and its uses as most of it was given over to the history of wine which in Barolo should have its own exhibition location.

We visited this modern winery with is amazingly naturally-integrated architecture. The guide was very kind and informative and we enjoyed it very much. This big winery gives a good idea of how they work, what kind of wines they make, and they offer you a tasting in the bar after the visit.
