Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our tour guide, Deo, was prompt, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend Valentine Tours for anyone looking for a great time exploring key spots near Nadi.

When you see the name Fiji Golf and Transfer, you might think Rakesh is only about gold and you might not be interested in that, but he also offers a superb day tour whether you’re in on a cruise ship or staying on the island. Rakesh used to caddy for Vijay Singh, and is very plugged into the local golf scene, so if that’s what you want, he’s your man, but he does so much more. We booked his Discover Nadi tour, and he picked us up early at our cruise port in a comfortable air conditioned sedan, though he also has a large van for groups. We stopped first at a local village where he introduced us to a woman who walked us through and told us about her life in the village. He then he took us to the beautiful Hindu temple, downtown to the craft market, and on to a really good lunch at the beach. He managed to do this by slipping in and out of all the places just before the bus tours pulled up. We finished off with a stop at a local fruit and flower market. As we were driving, he gave us a great history of the islands and their people, and was just wonderful company.

Took this tour with Thomas, from the outset it was clear that we would be in for a great trip. Thomas showed us around, explained everything and took the time to make sure we were happy with what we were doing and knows where to be and what to do. The temple, local market and gardens are great places to visit; but the highlights were the traditional village and the hot springs and mud pool experience. Wandering through the village we got a real taste of what life is like for many Fijians and a great rundown of their culture and traditional customs and traditions. The hot and mud springs is not to be missed, great star and friendly people pointing us in the right direction and making sure we got completely covers from head to toe.. all on all great day out and if you are looking for a quality trip Thomas and the tour is your best option.

Navin picked us up on time and he was a very informative guide full of character and knowledge. I am disabled and he made sure I was well looked after and able to walk around without getting into trouble.
At every attraction we were met by very friendly and helpful staff. We were never asked to contribute or give money for any cause and were welcomed with open arms everywhere we went.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch (our own cost) that Navin took us to and ate the best prawn curry ever!

We did the morning mud bath tour which turned out to be a very worthwhile full day event.

We started at the beautiful and large Hindu Temple. Our guide Anand gave us detailed explanations of the place as well as the religion.

Next was shopping in downtown Nadi including a small kava ceremony. After that we went to a local produce market where we bought some delicious coconut and papaya.

We took a tour of a local village, and we're very warmly greeted. There was an opportunity to purchase locally sourced items from the village residents at the conclusion of our visit.

The Garden of Sleeping Giant visit was next.

Our day was capped off with the mud baths and hot springs. The staff took photos with our cameras and coached us on our application technique.

Our guide Anand was very informative and knowledgeable. He took his time and showed us much of Nadi.

There was also free wifi in our van for the whole tour.

We recently joined the Best of Nadi Highlights Tour with Valentine Tours in Fiji, and it was great. Our guide, Anand, was excellent he was deeply knowledge and friendly.

    Highlights:

    • Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple: Beautiful and culturally rich, Anand’s insights made it even more fascinating.
    • Nadi Market: Vibrant and bustling, with great local tips from Anand.
    • Garden of the Sleeping Giant: Peaceful and stunning.
    • Mud Pools and Hot Springs: Relaxing and fun, we enjoyed every moment.

Anand’s passion for Fiji shone through, making the tour engaging and informative. Highly recommended for a comprehensive taste of Nadi’s best.

Great your guide. Lovely day. Tour says we will go the the Rum Distillery, we didn't, that hasnt happened for some time. We did go for a drive by the sugar mill. Saw trucks unloading in a precarious manner. 2 different markets where we could buy souvenirs at realistic prices. The village tour was good, again good prices on beadwork etc. Good history lesson and Deo was happy to explain the history of Fiji.
Good comfortable van, good aircon and a safe driver.

This was a very special tour. We were staying on planatation island and our helicopter came and picked us up from there. Did a glorious flight back to the mainland and enjoyed stunning views of the sleeping giant, followed by the best meal we had on our holiday at the first landing resort.

Whilst the first landing resort doesn’t look like it is in the most glamorous location, the customer service was truly the best we had on our holiday and the kids thoroughly enjoyed splashing around in the pool and enjoying the local shop. While us parents relaxed with a couple of drinks before our helicopter returned and took us back to plantation.

What a wonderful way to spend time in Nadi! If you’re looking for something to do other than island hopping and souvenir shopping, where you’ll see stunning, lush scenery and spend time with local people, this is the tour for you. Peni’s adult son Penu and daughter Emily were the guides for myself and another solo traveller (who was good company too!). They were lovely, and great at setting the right pace and making sure we were enjoying the hike. I found the hike to the waterfall (~75 mins up, but faster down!) a bit strenuous so I wouldn’t recommend this tour for younger children, or anyone not basically fit, but you can totally set your own pace and take your time with plenty of stops to view the increasingly gorgeous scenery. Plus you are rewarded with a cooling waterfall at the top! The village lunch was very special, to be welcomed into someone’s home, and the food made with fresh local vegetables and eggs was delicious. Highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I spent 1/2 day touring with Rakesh. He took us to a local village, the Nadi Temple, a stop for shopping, a local farmers market, and a great waterfront restaurant for lunch. Rakesh was early for pickup and in regular communication with us before we departed our ship. His car is new, clean, and has excellent air conditioning. He also knew when to get to certain destinations so we were not competing with tour buses all day. Highly recommend. You can book directly with Rakesh through his website fijitoursandtransfers.com.

Rakshay was AMAZING. He took us to every must-see place including the temple, the gardens, the mud pools, and the village. It was super cool to get a locals perspective and insight into the area, too. He gave us lots of good restaurant recommendations and other places to visit. Thank you Rakshay!!!!

We had a car and a driver for a day, arriving on a cruise. The driver was already waiting with our name clearly showing. The car was very clean, air conditioned and comfortable. Michael our driver was great and very professional. He made suggestions and took us wherever we wanted to go. I can highly recommend this company and would use them again in the future. Thanks Michael and Prince Tours

Our tour guide was a pleasant guy but the tour part consisted of comments like "Here is the Hindu temple. Would you like to go in?" The answer should be no. You are probably going to interrupt someone's prayer and there's really not much to see. Info on the sugar refinery was basic but interesting, unfortunately the guide didn't have enough info to answer questions. We never went into the market but we loved the very first village in Fiji. It was fascinating to hear how the village evolved and how the 850 people still live. Pay the extra for one of the villagers to show you around! Crafts sold are very reasonable. Vuda Marina is beautiful but don't make the mistake of going for a meal. Although we ordered 30 minutes before a bus tour showed up we got our food after. An hour and a half is too long to wait. Food wasn't terrible but not great either. Bring a picnic or just order drinks. Drinks came quickly.
