Seeing the different vineyards and learning about the different soils, seeing how they changed as we went up the mountainside, and then later tasting wines from those same vines was an incredible experience. The views from the vineyards were breathtakingly beautiful. I have visited the Domaine twice this summer, buying wines on both occasions. I am not a huge fan of wines from this area but was delighted by the red wine that I purchased. We were pleasantly surprised at the range of wines on offer and the suggestions made by the lady who served us were spot on. Well worth a visit when visiting Gigondas.
