Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- liucy752Taipei, Taiwan1,839 contributionsThis is a Hakka village settlement with a history of over 200 years. The buildings were established by Lin's family from Chaozhou, Canton (廣東潮州) in 18th century.
The architectural styles include mud brick, red brick, wooden and concrete houses, reflecting the evolution of the settlement's integration of old and new over the past 200+ years.
Together with the restoration of the adjacent paddy field landscape, it has become the first "Hakka Cultural Conservation Zone" in Taiwan.
In addition to Hakka architecture and life displays, some of the buildings are revitalized into restaurants or shops. The park regularly hosts Hakka traditional cultural activities.Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We love to get our exercise by walking around and window shopping. Everyone is very helpful. There is only one complaint, there is a garden that starts on the 7th floor and goes up to the 8th floor but I’ve never been able to walk through it. I have been there during the last two trips, 2023 and 2024. It’s now really grown up and ugly. No one knows why they have let go and not maintained it. They have signs up saying do not enter but no explanation.Written 28 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - liucy752Taipei, Taiwan1,839 contributionsThis is a temporary buddhist temple, which will be transformed into a large one in the future.
The temple is featured with over 20 large stone buddha sculptures. The five to ten-meter-tall statues are great and magnificent, with exquisite sculpture skills. There are also lots of smaller-size statues.
The staff members told me that the statues were antiquities from Mainland China, they were made in Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD.). Of course I don’t buy it. They are too new to be antiques.Written 2 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We saw they had VR on the ‘games’ floor so headed there; it was great, lots of variety and could play multiplayer. Very helpful staff who spoke good English. Also went for dinner, there were 4 restaurants but because of the time only one was open, still a very pleasant meal. Easy entertainment for a week night.Written 7 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
