Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- MikeP88 contributionsWe found this a quiet beach. The sea was chilly and the waves break at the beach because the sea becomes deep quickly. Plenty of ATMs but only a couple of hard to spot WCs. Cash widely used rather than cards. Don't miss the two sets of dinosaur footprints in the rock at opposite sides of the beach.Written 6 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ljcBangor, UK66 contributionsReally atmospheric with stunning scenery, huge wide open spaces and incredible waves. Definitely worth visiting for a long walk. It was empty in November but I’m guessing the hugeness is a welcome relief in summer when many beaches are jam-packed.Written 11 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Halitosis10Linlithgow, UK106 contributionsFabulous beach. Plenty of parking, and great bar/restaurant (stay for dinner and the sunset!). A small soft hire shop.
Soft sand, very few folk, gently-shelving beach with enormous roaring surf.Written 5 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jcacsPortimao, Portugal8 contributionsI have visited Torre da Aspa in May 2015, and I can say that until now (4 years later), this is one of the most stunning places I've ever seen in my life. A definitely "Must-Go" for all hikers, couples, nature lovers and campers.Written 25 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MargaretAnne52Midhurst, UK9 contributionsEven though we arrived within half an hour of the 13.00 hours closure, our arrival was clearly a nuisance and he showed barely concealed resentment that we were both over 65 and entitled to the concessionary rate. Pointedly, the attendant walked down the drive to lock the gates well before 12.50. We felt under pressure to leave. He had to let us exit and then again locked the gates, despite the arrival of three car-loads of other people all hoping to gain entry. He was blunt, unwelcoming and unrelenting. His attitude soured the visit for us. It was otherwise a fascinating place and we only wish we had been allowed more time. We agree with another entry as to the lack of English translation of the excellent displays. Further we were not directed to the video.Written 11 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
