Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Silvan K12 contributionsWe went on a four day hike with Chande from Usambara adventures. Chande picked us up from the bus station and walked us to our accommodation. There he gave an overview of the following days. From the start we had a good feeling about his kindness and enthusiasm. During the hike this appeared to be true. Also, he proved to have a lot of knowledge about the region, flora and fauna, history and traditional plant medicine. Furthermore, we had a lot of fun and spoke about all kinds of topics. The hiking distances were good and the hiking was not technically difficult. It’s good to know, however, that it’s not a short walk in the park. We expected a hike through high mountains, but most of the hike was through forests, farmlands and villages. Which was interesting because this gave an interesting view in the culture of the Usambara Mountains. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was taken care of and really good each day. Accomodations were beautiful and each one of them surprised us because they were al unique.
Chande, thanks for the fun days! Lets find some chameleons soon again!Written 21 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I had a wonderful time and Chris made the experience enjoyable and fun, and made sure to point out all the chameleons he saw. Would highly recommend!!!Written 22 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Fifirichmond47 contributionsSituated just next to the Lushoto bus terminal. The guys are super nice, make great coffee, happy to chat about the area and give advice. Am sure their trips would be worth doing but we didn’t have time.Written 8 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Serafina F9 contributionsI did a day tour in Lushoto including visiting two different waterfalls, hiking in the forest, having lunch in Lushoto town, visiting the local market and the Irente viewpoint for sunset. I enjoyed the whole day a lot and learned many things about nature and culture in Lushoto. Kibwana was a great tour guide!Written 27 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kathi X11 contributionsWe did two great day hiking tours with Boka. The hike up Kigulu peak through Magamba Forest and down to Irente Viewpoint was quite exhausting but very rewarding. There are a lot of beautiful views on the way, you have the possibility to have a special farmer's lunch at Irente Farm and Boka spotted lots of chameleons.
On the second day we visited a local market (very interesting to experience local life, probably a good idea to be accompanied by a guide) and two waterfalls.
It was easy to get in contact with Friends of Usambara before arriving. Boka picked us up from the bus station, went with us to the office and later drove us to our accommodation. Every day he picked us up from our hotel to start the tour.Written 22 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My family and I went on a 6-day budget safari going to various national parks around Arusha. Everything was planned out wonderfully. Raymond is so kind and helpful. The team he had was also amazing from answering our many questions to cooking us amazing food, it felt like we were leaving good friends by the end of the trip. And along side that it was great to share stories about our lives and learn more about Tanzania. So happy with the services! Highly recommend!Written 4 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Topphoff M1 contributionWe did a great three days hiking tour with Taza. It was a very special experience because we could also stay at his farm and get to know his family as well as eating home made food (sooo delicious :))
The tour had the perfect amount of kilometres and we stayed at three different interesting accommodations. We did the tour during Christmas time and even stayed at a convent .
Taza knows so much about nature and also helped us afterwards booking another hotel and a bus for our further tour. The coffee tour where we made our own coffee was a special for us coffee lovers as well. We will definitely come back one day. Thank you a lot.Written 28 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
