We had today a very lovely and interesting guidance. Our Guide, Gottfried, was very sympathic and competent. He explained patient under Covid condition (with Mask) all the History and regional facts. Also he told us honestly about not certain pre-historic aspects, that Investigation is still ongoing. The Tour was a bit longer than planned, and for 5€ a more than fair price.
You will not discover only the pre-historic Symbols, walking over the big rupe Magna, but also the well preserved castles Ruins.
    From us a clear recommendation

In the middle of the historic centre of Grosio. Simple façade outside, but full of frescoes inside! Highly recommended.

Over the centuries, it was important to be able to see your enemies coming and to be able to hold the high ground. When you drive into Grosio, you notice the two castles looking down upon the village. The New Castle is the Castello Visconti Venosta and the Old Castle is the Castello di S. Faustino. New and Old is relative! It's good news is that there is a relatively new walking path that makes climbing to the castles possible! Halfway up is a visitor center with helpful staff, clean bathrooms and picnic tables if you bring your lunch.

Also part of this area is the Rupe Magna which is reviewed on Trip Advisor. That is a large rock with petroglyphs.
