Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Georg SCologne, Germany257 contributionsAs if in the middle of nowhere is this field of huge concrete blocks, signifying a former village destroyed by an earthquake. Away from the village centre are some individual ruins of what must have been a factory and a more recentlly build apartment building. The longer I stayed and walked through what must have been little village streets, the more this massive monument hits.Written 12 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nomad619442 contributionsPerfect place for experiencing the art, and nature of Sicily. Pleasure for the mind and senses.
It has to be experienced slowly, by immersing in the atmosphere.Written 6 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The juxtapositioning of unrelated objectsmakes it particularly interesting. - bernard69Tivat Municipality, Montenegro6,682 contributionsThe "Dream in progress",the name of the project given of the new town "Gibellina Nuova" built 18 km away from the old Gibellina destroyed by the 1968 earthquake seems to have been only a dream.
When I visited on a rainy day this town,I felt a kind of sadness hanging over and in the city because of its wide empty streets, some of its weird constructions are already crumbling, its two-story dwellings are faded and I didn't see people congregating and chating...Written 11 June 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This modern city that has one of the largest outdoor permanent modern art displayed all over its town. The history of this place is an interesting one, after the earthquake where all the town was destroyed, this town was rebuilt further from the original site and hence the mayor of the town invited artist and architects to join and rebuild a new Gibellina.Written 1 May 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
