Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Alyssa RGuttenberg, NJ6 contributionsThis experience was nothing short of once in a lifetime. It started with Eva, our winery tour guide, driving us from the restaurant meeting place to the winery. She then gave us an in depth explanation of the full process of planting the vines, to fermenting the wine, to putting them in barrels, and finally getting them bottled. We were able to taste wines that were in the clarification process, wines that were almost ready to be in barrels, to wines that were straight out of the barrel, and finally bottled. Once we were at the point to try the wine, Fernando to the wine expert and owner joined us for our tasting where we also had a few appetizers with our tasting. They not only gave us so much information on the process of making wine, but they engaged in personal conversation making the atmosphere feel like we were guests in their home. We then ate at the restaurant that had delicious food. While we were seated for dinner, Fernando welcomed us to the bar downstairs to have an after dinner drink where he spent additional time hanging out with us and socializing. The entire experience made us feel like we were special guests at the winery. I would recommend this to anyone who was traveling to Madrid or the surrounding areas. For us, we were staying in center city Madrid and it took about an hour by car to get there. Such an amazing way to end our trip!!Written 6 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Journey677222963462 contributionsOur group of 20 friends recently visited Tierra Calma Winery, and it was the happiest day we could have asked for! From the moment we arrived, Rafael, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and shared his vast knowledge about the winery’s regions and their exquisite wines. The passion he has for his craft was contagious, and we learned so much while sipping on delicious wine.
The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we felt right at home the entire time. As for the food, it was absolutely incredible – the flavors were rich, fresh, and paired perfectly with the wines.
After lunch, Rafael generously lent us his speakers, and we ended up turning the day into a small party! The atmosphere was lively, the views stunning, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend time together.
It was a perfect day of great wine, delicious food, and fantastic company. We can’t wait to return to Tierra Calma!Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Edward ZBrownsville, TX217 contributionsAfter years of neglect it is finally getting it due and being restored for all to enjoy, it offers a great view of the city and with added history of the area it will look amazing in years to come, spend a short time discovering the history of past owners which will give you a better insight and turn this into a more memorable experience. - TrueTexasTravelerAmarillo, TX979 contributionsWhile traveling to Madrid, a stop at Bernabeleva was the highlight of the trip! The owner took us on a two hour tour of his vineyards, through rugged foothill terrain. He shared the incredible history of his family and viticulture and wine making, he talked about the history and current state of vineyards in Spain, he discussed his natural approach to grape growing and wine making, and showed us a variety of vineyards he owns and manages and talked about their history. Then we went back to the winery for an extensive tasting in the barrel rooms where we tasted wines from his various vineyards and he pointed out slight differences based on that vineyards elevation, soil, etc. His passion and wealth of knowledge really put this stop over the top. This is truly a "can't miss!"Written 2 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TaffybySan Martin de Valdeiglesias, Spain611 contributionsdaughter and wife had just gone shopping at mercadona, i drove out if the rear of the car park turned left and there i saw the metro bar.coffee it was a very quiet
small restaurant but very clean and serving very nice food.
i cannot comment on the atmosphere as there was only my wife and me inside, there were four people sitting by the tables outside.
i have the feeling that with a few customers inside the could be a nice little cafe to stop in.Written 12 November 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
