Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Rebecca CChula Vista, CA49 contributionsThis is our favorite swimmable beach in the southern pacific zone. We spend hours in the waves each time we come to Costa Rica. You have to drive across a small creek to get to the beach, but no longer have to pay a few bucks for parking.
Sand is black and will stick to you. It will also get in your eyes while swimming, unless you’re careful.
Dogs are welcome and watching the water in the caves at high tide is bar none.
This is now swimmable for young children, but still lots of fun!Written 1 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - William MirandaSan Jose, Costa Rica3 contributions
Very close to the beach, a clean and tidy place with very attentive and friendly staff, a quiet and safe environmentWritten 29 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's full of nice, friendly vendors, and it's the best place to go for a farmers market in Uvita. There are plenty of organic farm vendors with everything you would ever want. they have baked goods and hard-to-find herbs andWritten 24 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Meander2844661 contributionEmilio is a great driver and actually more of a Costa Rican ambassador. We look forward to him greeting us at the SJO airport always with a smile. He is smart and quite helpful with suggestions and it truly warms our heart whenever we get to see him. Thanks again until next time…Written 7 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gabrielle D4 contributionsI did this with my daughter, first time ziplining for both of us. She was pretty fearless from the get-go, and loved every minute of it. I was fairly terrified, but ended up loving it as well. It is a gorgeous setting, and the combination of many lines as well as the rappelling and bridges, really does feel like a "tour"; the duration really let's you get into the experience, and yet it is also disappointing when it's done! What really put me at ease and made it fun was our fantastic guides/experts - special shout-out to Moses, as promised! - Rachel K3 contributionsWe did the combo whale/dolphin watching tour and had a great time. The boat was nice and the crew was excellent. Jennifer, our guide, was knowledgeable and fun. We saw dolphins, several whales, iguanas, and birds. We also had the opportunity to snorkel near the Whale Tail and saw urchins and tons of fish. Jennifer, Johnny, and Junior took
great care of us Would highly recommend!Written 21 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was an amazing, truly authentic Costa Rican experience. The guys on the boat crew were so friendly, and you could tell they just really loved fishing. They were just as amped when we came up on an amazing weed line as we were. We got two mahi pretty quickly, then went out to a reef about 20 miles out to jig. We were on fish, but couldn’t hook up, so we went back to trolling the weed line and got a bunch more mahi and a kingfish. You could tell the crew really wanted us to have a good trip, and even went over on time since we were getting a lot of action. After the trip, we went back to put the boat away, and while they were fileting the fish they prepared us some of the fresh kingfish as a ceviche like dish that was the most amazing fish I have ever eaten. It was a truly amazing experience and I would definitely go again. If your looking for a big fancy sportfishing boat with a fancy setup, this isn’t for you, but if you want a truly Costa Rican fishing experience the way the locals do it, I couldn’t recommend this more.Written 6 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
