Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So worth while - highly recommended for all ages and stages! We were there early in the season when the birds were courting - the male brings a likely female seaweed and if she accepts it, they are away!

Really epic views. I'd reccomend going at sunset, with where the cliffs are I bet it would be incredible at sunset.

Lots of room to get the photos you want. It was pretty windy so we got a bit sand blasted but worth it for the views.

Our guide David was terrific as he drove us up and down very narrow roads using a 4 wheel drive vehicle to the top of an overlooking cliff where there were hundreds of gannets. The view of the bays and beaches were spectacular. David was very knowledgeable about the area and the environment. At the end we had q light tea with the best strawberries we ever had

Good drivers, friendly staff, unique and beautiful scenery and amazing birds. I'm so glad we were able to join this wonderful tour--thanks to Lucia at Clifton Glamping for suggesting it.

Definitely worth a visit. I can remember in the 1960's when you had to walk around the beaches and cliffs - being aware of the comings and goings of the tide. Nowadays you get there by bus! It is not cheap but is definitely worth the experience. We had and extremely knowledgeable and entertaining bus driver who made the trip a most exhilarating experience. When you get to the gannets what a stink and what noise - but don't let that put you off. Try to go when there are chicks. Remember that gannets don't know how to land!! and be prepared for thrills and spills.

This trip is well worth doing as it is something completely different.Board the tractor and trailer and go in a convoy of 3 tractor and trailers along the beach and through the water to the gannets colony. It takes about 1 hour 15 mins to get there but the guide stops frequently to give so much information on the way especially all the geology of the area.
On arrival you have approximately 1.5 hours to visit the colony which is about 20 minutes walk and challenging but not too difficult if reasonably fit and healthy.Well worth seeing but be prepared for the aroma!!!!
On return a swim in the beautiful sea is fantastic before you board the tractor and trailer on your return journey.Make sure you take plenty of water, food and sun prevention with you as you are very exposed .Tractors sometimes get stuck in the sand which adds to all the excitement and then get pulled out by another tractor. All fun and enjoyment and worth doing and seeing these beautiful birds.

They must all be friends, living so close to each other ... Clear information signs, great views - and gannets at close range. Who aren't shy. We had one that almost seemed to want to have a close-up photo taken, that's how close s/he was!
Worthwhile a visit. And I haven't even mentioned the views ...
