About Gannet Beach Adventures
Hop on board our vintage tractor-trailers for a unique, fun eco-experience with your Gannet Beach Adventures guide. Stops along the way give you an insight into how nature’s forces have shaped the cliffs and there are lots of great photo spots during the 4-hour return trip. At the Cape you get plenty of time to enjoy a scenic walk up to the larger Plateau Colony, or you can stay near the beach to relax with a picnic and swim. A moderate fitness level is suggested for the walk up to the top colony. Perfect whether you are travelling solo or with others, the tour is suitable for all ages. Our tour season runs late September to the end of April and departs on the day’s low tide, so start times vary. The gannets, our distinctive tractors, dramatic scenery and fascinating geology of this area will truly amaze you! (Note: The coastline to Cape Kidnappers is subject to unpredictable slips & rockfalls and is a tsunami risk zone - see safety information on our website before booking).

Great to be able to see the gannets in this way...on the back of tractor winding its way down the beach around rocks and through the surf. Informative and fun. A lost jacket returned efficiently by Kim via courier, seemingly no problem. Would highly recommend this company ... great value for money.

Went in this trip on Easter Sunday, day after daylight savings finished. The tractor ride out was informative and great fun, guides were knowledgeable. You stop a couple of times, may even get stuck if you're lucky! The beach is beautiful. The walk up to the colony is up hill but can be done and has amazing views, have some good shoes, no jandals. The gannets are amazing and fun to watch, the view is stunning. The trip was awesome and well worth the $48 paid. Was fun, interesting and thoroughly enjoyable and amazing! (Superlatives everywhere) The trip back was during dusk (no d/l saving day) and just so picturesque, we saw the sun go down and the colours in the sky were just stunning. Highly recommend this trip for all ages!

From start to finish. Full of laughter and so much fun. Educational and exciting. The tractor pull is amazing though be prepared for rogue splashes. We learnt about geology and saw shags, oyster catchers, a seal, crabs and of course gannets. Cannot recommend! highly enough. Just do it!!

Wow what a great afternoon. Tractor ride 9kms up the coastline to Cape Kidnappers and back. Beats doing the usual thing and going in a car or van. At the Cape we walked over a hill to a large gannet colony where you can get up close to these amazing birds. Our driver was very friendly, informative and passionate about the coastline and birds. Very good value.
