A really interesting, fun way to explore the local cliff landscape and spot nesting terns as well as the large colonies of gannets. These are amazing sea birds and the tour leaders are well informed and entertaining too!

The main point of the trip may be to see the gannet colony, but the drivers make the trip fun and educational. Expect to pick up some geology and local history on route as well as bird and shore life.

Big thanks to Murray our tractor driver! Brought our 4 kids 11-15yrs on the trip and 2 littles 3-4yrs and both groups of ages enjoyed hugely. Many moments a smile creeped onto my face. Gannets themselves do have a particularly smelly fragrance and the hike...More

Hi - thanks for your question. The walk to the top colony is optional - we have a colony of gannets located on the beach so you don't miss out on seeing the birds if you can't or don't wish to do the walk. The tractors... More
