I did not expect the amount of people that were at this night market, and now I understand why they were all there. It was so much fun!
The food there was ridiculous, we had; chicken skewers, pad thai, churros, pork skewers, cheesecake, traditional steamed pudding, and there was also squid, freshly squeezed juices, noodles, rice, dumplings and much more.

While we mainly went for the food but there are other things to do at the market. People were selling everything from phone covers, manicures, henna, hair styling etc... The night we were there, there was also a karaoke competition. There is something for everyone and it is fun to get into the crowd of locals and see what is on sale.

The Glenfield Sunday Night Market is a must-do for a huge variety (with an emphasis on Asian) of cheap eats served fresh and hot. Malaysian, Thai, Chinese, Filipino, American, Korean, South African...the list of cuisines represented is long.

At first glance, you could easily imagine that you were browsing street vendors in any of a dozen Asian cities.

Most of the food is cooked right in front of you, so you get it piping hot.

We’ve been coming to this market for years and it’s always good, always a fun experience for everyone in the family. Wander around, snack on delicious food from all over the world, top it off with your choice of sweet treat from any of a dozen dessert stalls and then take home a little bit of everything. Wow.

The prices are rock-bottom. $10 for 4 large teriyaki chicken sticks, $11 for 33 pot-stickers, $2 pork buns, $10 for 7 pieces of prawn shiu-mai, and don’t leave without your healthy serving of Nutella cheesecake for $5.

As the night goes on, the market gets crowded and parking fills up in the parking structure. Still, there are always spaces available, you just have to drive up higher in the structure to get them. We like to show up when things are just getting rolling at 5:30pm, and folks are starting to trickle in. Whenever you arrive, the Glenfield Sunday Night Market is a good time, with good food, at crazy-good prices.

There are merchandise vendors here, also, and browsing their stalls is always interesting. iPhone paraphernalia, jewelry, hats, clothing, holistic health items, toys and more.

Fresh fruit and vegetables round out the vendor stalls.

The hours are 5:30pm to 11:00pm.

We heartily recommend the Glenfield Sunday Night Market. It’s fun for the whole family. If you’re lucky, there will be live music and maybe even the human statue guy.

Check out the pictures!

We went here 2 weeks ago, i was so excited as i heard this is one if the biggest night markets.

It was sun and around 7pm and packed with both locals and tourist like me.

We ordered dim sum siomai but the taste and texture is not really that good compared to the one in Dominion road. It looks big but taste could be deceiving. I am not sure if i bought from wrong store, coz there are a few dim sum stores.

The famous hotdog store is the one that didnt let me down. It is good to try the cheese one.

I bought also from other food stalls like Thai and Korean food but missing other nice food, i heard there is nice Filipino stall but they were missing.

The dessert selection could have been more varities and drinks.

Pls make sure to bring cash, as some of the stores they dont accept EFTPOS card payment. Lucky i have 30 bucks in my wallet.

I will give it a try next time hopefully more varities or stores and hope the Filipino store would be back, as I heard the food is nice.

There are a number of Auckland Night Markets on different nights and different venues. I do not know if the stall holders are the same in each location. There was a HUGE selection of 'street food' vendors with great looking variety's. There were Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Lebanese and Jamaican street foods available. The markets start about 17:30 through to 23:00. Well worth tracking one down at least to have a good selection of foods with a difference.

They say Auckland has become a melting pot of different cultures and where else to put these pots to the test but at the night market.
Mostly you expect to find the usual cheap stuff like phone cases and fruit and fresh but look beyond that and let your nose do the searching.
You will find a variety here of Chinese, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese but newcomers to the market include als deli (pork sliders and donuts injected with peanutbutter) I'm told they are bring poutine back.
Wood fired pizza and south African also fill the menu. In fact there are more unusual foods here on offer than the other night markets.
I try to visit atleast once a month.

It is held in the lower level of the covered parking structure of Glenfield Mall...we took the bus (955) percent from downtown $5.00. Advertised as 200 booths (but not sure that many) an array of item for sale. Clothing, cell phone cases, jewelry (not all handmade), some service booths for massage, nails, and some interesting strange ear therapy...The food is predominantly Asian - Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Filipino. Saw a Brazilian booth too. Some entertainment on site. It's very crowded...the aisles are tight so hard to walk around and look at the booths. Very busy...some fresh juicing booths, ice cream, and desserts...many people were doing take away but there are some tables to sit and eat. The prices are reasonable ...liked the $5 for 15pork dumplings And the giant soft ball size sesame balls with red bean

It is a good place to try different foods....some good quality, some not so good....kinda fun...overall...so many people in a parking garage
