Cancelled the 0545 tongariro crossing shuttle and gave poor weather as an excuse. Weather was fine. No apology given.

Last minute decision to hire some bikes. Prompt replies by text, personal and professional service. Bikes were well maintained and performed well on the Old Coach Rd.

Book their Mount Tongariro package (with shuttle service) last feb. Hassle free, just book and confirm your slot. Shuttle was on time to and fro. A short 20min ride to trailhead for hiking.

I did the Old Coach Road on a mountain bike through My Kiwi Adventure. These people are really nice and provided everything we (total 3 people) needed to know, helpful advice, etc. The bikes were in very good condition and we had a trial ride around the driveway before departure, just to make sure. The very reasonable cost of the half day ride included drop off & pick up. The trail is slightly challenging for people like me who ride regulary... on concrete bike lanes! But it was nothing that an average person couldn't do. The Old Coach Trail linked two different train lines back wihen they couldn't join them up due to steep terrain. As you cruise along you'll find the old curved viaduct and the new curved viaduct. Both are great subjects for a photo or two. The vegetation and hilly terrain is also very picturesque. I enjoyed this very much because it included: exercise, history, engineering feats, scenery and wide open spaces. My Kiwi Adventure is right next door to YHA National Park. Very convenient!

Second time doing the 42 Traverse and so went with My Kiwi Adventure again as they were so helpful the first time and were just as good the second time! The biking was incredible and a wonderful way to spend a day out in nature.
