I was sorry to read of Lionel's less than sublime eating experience... perhaps he can try again with the kumara chips, for which I happily travel from Hamilton. I then move outside, depending on the wind and tides, the vistas are never the same, even...More

Heard so much about this place so came down all the way from Hunua, Papakura to experience the fish and chips as the Best in the West. Well I am not sure what all the ravers ate - but we ordered Gurnard, Trevalli and chips...More

Best fish and chips... eating battered snapper, scallops and oysters and delicious chips (not the fakes processed chips) whilst sitting back watching for orcas - life doesn't get much better than this

We found the wharf late in the evening when out walking. The lights were on. The reflections were beautiful. We lingered, found a seat and sat awhile. How we enjoyed our stay in this delightful, very pretty, friendly beachy town.

Quiet little wharf. Not a lot of parking so can get a little chaotic around lunch and dinner with the 2 restaurants. Love the little boutique style shops there - worth checking out! View at sunset is gorgeous.

Interesting wooden wharf at the end of main street. People fish from this wharf at high tide. Catch fish, too. Nice view of the bay.

Once a busy port but quieter now. Children fish off the wharf steps as they've done for decades and there are some quirky little shops to provide interest. Reasonable fish and chips available, and a small coffee shop.

Even though there is 2 good restaurants, there isn't too much going on at this Wharf. You can't see the mountain and once the stores close its pretty boring. They have a fish & chip shop as well as a bar but its more for...More
