Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Last saw the Raglan Museum years ago but it is in brand new premises and nothing like it was. Now a brand new building which is combined with the Information Bureau. Nicely set out, plenty to see about the history of Raglan and also about Surfing - that's a first that I have seen, plenty of Maori artefacts with good descriptions, Surfing memorabilia and mor. Well worth a visit and good for a small town Museum

An easy walk from Bow street to the combined Visitor Centre and Museum.
Well placed displays involving major Raglan families, as well as the history of the museum.
Lots of surfing memorabilia and pictures.
Good research centre with lots of photos on the computer.

This museum is well worth a visit and a $2 entry is so cheap.
Lots to see on both floors. Really surprised us.

Very well laid-out, with interesting exhibits. There was an exhibition of surfing upstairs which was most appropriate for this surf capital of Need Zealand. How boards have changed!

This is a well done local museum, including local history and natural history. Surfing exhibit upstairs was particularly fun.

This little place has an easy read of the history of Raglan and the innovation of surfing in NZ. Worth the half hour perusal. Interesting and educational...kids should enjoy it as well.

This museum is well worth visiting if you are in Raglan. It is nicely laid out and the exhibits appear to be well cared for. The surfing exhibition is well done and very interesting. The location is great since it is next to the Information Centre and right in town.

This is still fairly new so not packed with exhibits but enjoyable and interesting. I particularly liked the telephone display, the switchboard is similar to ones I used in offices in the 60's but older. The surf exhibition is good. Well done. We are on holiday from England and our son lives and surfs here.
