About
For a true outdoor experience to suit all ages and physical abilities join one of our harbor cruises. We provide narrated hertitage tours around on Raglan’s Whaingaroa Harbour. We’ve 120kms of coastline with picturesque limestone rock formations, forested coastline, marine wildlife and a waterfall. Our sunset cruises are a famous “must do”. The captain and crew provide authentic tales, myths and history of the local people and early settlers. We’ve a fully licensed bar and provide our popular fresh 'fish n chips' delivered directly to the boat from the raglan fish market. Our boat Wahinemoe cruises the limestone coastline to the throat of the harbour where it meets the Tasman sea for the best sunset views. Our boat Wakahuia is a faster amphibious sealegs boat ideal for small groups and adventure seekers, hop off on a deserted beach and go for a walk.

I recommend this trip especially for the great price which I purchased off grab one. I had lovely customer service on the phone when I rang to clarify, also polite and friendly service on board. It's good to know there are a few bars close to the boat charters that you may want to visit for a meal or drink a couple of hours before the boat leaves at 730pm. Which was great to see we left on time arrived back on time. Best to get on board the boat at least half hour early. Seating up stairs is best, if you arrive after 7pm you maybe downstairs. Drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic and eftpos are on board up stairs. Best position on boat is upstairs near the back so you can capture both sides of the boat cruise and especially the sunset when you stop. Toilet is downstairs as you enter the boat to your left. Tables and chair seating is downstairs with the captain who is friendly, culturally versed and approachable. He has done this cruise for over 10 years Nga mihi. Also a sign pointing to the Wahine Moe boat would be helpful. The cooked fish was beautiful and the gluten free option is a great idea, the chips were OK, and nice to have free sauce and salt on board. The staff in the fish and chip shop were friendly and helpful. I would recommend eating before the cruise to mix and mingle before getting on board so your not distracted by eating and can focus on the trip. Perhaps platters on board instead of fish and chips to eat maybe an good idea, and nice to help yourself to water on board upstairs . Caught some beautiful photos and reccomend someone to video the trip so you can capture the commentary history while you take photos. Definitely worth booking for a family or friends reunion or work celebration, just have a photography on board to capture your photos. The staff greets you and ask for your name which was good to not have to show tickets. Music plays on board and it was a good selection some of my favourites like LAB. Reccomend seating be arranged more around the back of the boat in rows facing the back of the boat and perhaps the drinks service to be downstairs to provide more room upstairs for people with a friendly staff member going around talking to people. Would be great to have the plastic covers upstairs open for the trip to be able to get a good view. Chairs on the edges of the boat facing outward is alot better. Overall beautiful trip...

We had a fantastic experience aboard the Wahine Moe. The skipper, Barlow, shared a clear and memorable history of the areas we were passing, and really brought the trip to life. Drinks aboard the boat were fairly well-varied and priced "about right" (a little high, but you're on a boat). The whole crew and trip were excellent.

Booked the sunset fish n chip cruise for my husbands 60th. From the lovely welcome from Julian, Skipper and from Barlow, our Captain. The entire cruise was gorgeous. The boat, Wahine Moa is a nice sturdy vessel, comfortable and well appointed. Alcohol available on board at a good price. Fish n chips, pré ordered were delicious and generous. Our Captain and Skipper ensured my husbands birthday was the best, champagne, blankets carefully placed on front of boat so we could watch the sunset in style. Captains informative and fun commentary was awesome. Watching the sunset was sheer magic. Our Skipper then arranges chairs at the other end of the boat so we could watch the stunning sunset. Absolutely recommend this wonderful sunset cruise.

Brilliant day out for a group of Foxbridge residents. We were welcomed aboard with a lovely warm drink by the super friendly crew and were thoroughly spoilt by them. The fish & chips were delicious !
Our Captain gave a great insight into the history of Raglan - having grown up in the area he could make the history really come alive. He also called up George & Mildred (resident seagulls at Raglan) for us, and we shared our chips with them. And ... GREAT EXCITEMENT ...Vinnie did an action man rescue of a runaway dinghy that Bear Grylls would have been proud of !!
We had a fab day - thanks to you all

Raglan boat tour is one of a great and must do when in NZ. Its approx 50 minutes scenic drive from Hamilton. Pretty nice and friendly staff. Captain who is your tour guide too would leave no chance to impress you throughout the 90 minutes tour. You will get to know and learn heaps from him, you will never forget his jokes and smile for a long for sure.
Then comes the best part is looking at sunset mesmerizing view which will store in your permanent memory. You will see how few people loves to live isolated on a island alone. I'd love to now go there every summer specially in the month of December which is NZ summers.
p.s. - Their onboard food is awesome and not to mention they have a on-board bar too to enjoy a couple of beer or a glass of wine in hand.
Cheers

What a great evening spent on Wahine Moe😊We were made to feel very welcome and the sunset was spectacular. Thanks to Helen for a very friendly and easy booking and to Julian and staff for looking after us on an awesome cruise around the beautiful Raglan Harbour. We enjoyed the fish and chips on board which were very generous in size.

We took our parents on this wonderful trip, both in their late 70s. Found our possie on the top deck out of the wind and enjoyed our parcel of delicious fish and chips, squeeze of tom sauce and purchased glass of wine and beers from the bar as we cruised away from the jetty.
The captain and staff entertained us throughout with a running commentary on the history and haunts of the local area, very entertaining. The finally was the incredible huge sunset, wow what a picture of beauty that was. Well done to the team and the Wahinemoe for a relaxing entertaining and magical Cruize.

The commentary was excellent, saw gull chicks and heard the history of the harbour with humour. The service was great as well. The Sunset cruise is weather dependent and ours was blocked by cloud. It's still worth doing the cruise and having the delicious Raglan fish and chips

Our family group loved the whole experience and were especially impressed by the stories told which just made the interesting scenery so meaningful. The boat is comfortable, travelling smoothly on a less-than-perfect day, with indoor seating when it showered, also sheltered upper deck seating. The birds accompanying us intrigued my grandchildren who also loved having a turn at being the captain. A lovely day trip I'd highly recommend for locals as well as visitors. Thanks so much!

Had a really lovely evening, informative and interesting commentary by Barlow, he was so knowledgeable, made the points of interest quite fascinating. We took the fish and chips option, highly recommend this, huge servings, so one meal would suit two. Good value for money
