The Palazzo Borromeo is located on an island off Stresa, with panoramic views from the palace and raised gardens. There is an overwhelming collection of paintings and furniture, all original. The gardens are beautiful, on many levels, with terraces and views across the lake.

This is an island worth visiting so very pretty. Good tip is that some of the stalls on this island sell items slightly cheaper than mainland Stresa. Worth noting if you are buying a gift.

Stunning classical garden, and the palazzo is out of this world! It's worth going even just for the boat trip across. It really is a very beautiful garden.
