Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

if you want to drive in corfu, then go to mount pantokrator. the views are fantastic. there is a cafe at the top, but go for a drive, not the top. there is also a monastery. a lovely way to spend an hour.

Setting off from Dassia 08:00 using bicycle and reached the monastery before 10:00. In early May still not too hot.
Well worth the effort and taking the road up through Sokraki is the best (wildest, quietest). Down through Spartilas is fine. The last 200m are a challenge.
Others have reported the terrific views

A must visit in Corfu, this is a great thing to do if you have a hire car. The drive up is grand, a few hairpins, but the road is wide right up to the top.
The views are breathtaking.

Creeping through the tight winding roads and up to the peak was an experience in itself, plenty of views on the route to the top.

Once you reach the summit, the views are spectacular, especially on a clear afternoon.

It's worth the travel up for the picturesque views and to visit the monestary, which sits at the highest point..

Be careful if travelling by car.

Some of the most spectacular views on the island, should not be missed!
I'd recommend renting a quad to get up to the mountain as the roads are tight, my partner and I went up in a car and it can get a bit hairy at times.

Mt. Pantokrator is the highest peak of Corfu.
First to clear something - ignore reviews saying only 4x4 can reach - every car can drive up, maybe only weaker mopeds wont be able.
Once up, you cannot ignore the huge metal antenna structure rising above the Monastery. It looks so ugly I cannot describe it and I wonder how Church authorities allowed that??? Therefore, I deduct one star (even should more).
Apart from that, the Monastery is really nice, specially the small Chapel, very richly decorated.
Outstanding views of all Corfu and Saranda and Ksamil across in Albania.

The ascent with a car is truly enjoyable for any rally fan. Felt like Collin Raye. Also, rhe view from top is godlike! The cafe at the top is overpriced though, but the place and ascend make up for it.

We were so excited to visit here, but unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The sight that greets you is that of multiple sky high metal towers! As well as a huge tower behind the monastery. As we walked in you had the opportunity to light a candle for your loved ones. There were quite a few, but they were soon removed, even before we left the monastery- surely never reaching the souls they were intended for. The inside was beautiful but much smaller than anticipated. A positive experience was the lovely gift shop with a very friendly and helpful young woman. Probably something you should see, knowing what to expect will balance your expectations.

Highest point on Corfu island, topped by a small monastery and a TV generating mast/station and the obligatory café. Make sure you are confident on the hairpin bends and steep and windy roads, as not for the faint hearted. Having said that, we passed several bikers who were cycling up there. Brave guys!! Still, the views from the top are definitely worth it. Although slightly hazy on the day we went up, we could still see right down to the south of the island, planes taking off at the airport and across to mainland Greece, Albania and up to the north - pretty much a full 360 pan. Spend a little while up there and soak in the majesty of it all! Pick as clear a day as you can, as it's still slightly hazy, even if it appears to be 100% clear.
