Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place is difficult to find, a sign at the roadside would be very helpfully. The only 3 fossils are exposed in a glass showcase. We believe these fossils are found in the limestone mine just opposite the same gravel road. The look out to the wetlands is nice but also not extraordinary. To our opinion it is not worthwhile to drive the extra km for this few fossils.

We stopped at this lookout and were pleasantly surprised at the display. The view was excellent on a lovely sunny day. The view of the limestone quarry was also interesting. Worth a stop off if you're not in a hurry.

We were pleased to find this little gem. More people would enjoy the area if they could find it more easily. Follow the signs and then, when you see these HUGE stones in front of a hedge, with a gate in between, THAT'S IT! STOP! Go through the gate. Nice view, too.

This place was a little hard to find. If you travel past the quarry there is a sign telling you to go up the hill. We did and then there was a fork in the road we went left and followed a farmers track to the top above the quarry thinking the viewpoint was there. Were came back and as I turned noticed the building. There is large rocks outside before you get to the fork in the road, but there are no signs to say you are there. There is a small gate and the view is quite beautiful across to Lake Waihola. You may only spend 10 minutes here unless you are having a picnic as there are picnic tables and a great view.
