Went with a group of friends to try something different, and this was it. The more ceramics we broke, the more we got into it. This place is perfect if you really want to let loose and go wild. However, the room did feel a little smaller than expected. Perhaps it was the massive pile of smashed ceramics already on the floor taking up most of the room, we were unable to get a full swing and felt restricted with movement. I would recommend the team to clear the remains so the next session would have a fresh room and more space to work with.
Staff were very friendly and professional. Even leading up to the session, The Break Room staff (special thank you to James) was very prompt and consistent in responding via email.
Would've been 5/5 for me if we had more room and if they answered their phone on the day as we were running a few mins behind schedule, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

The Break Room is a unique venue that allows you to let out all of your frustrations with a baseball bat and breakables!
Your ticket gets you time in the room and a crate full of breakables - glass wear, plates, mugs and whatever the owner has on hand (my last visit there were some vinyl records!). You are also allowed to bring in some of your own items if you want! I opted to bring some garden gnomes and a heap of glitter.
The owner Ed is a great, laid back guy and a pleasure to deal with!
This is an awesome experience if you're looking for something a little different. I've been a few times and even gave gift vouchers to friends at Christmas time!!

Want to waste your time and money, sure, go to the break room, get talked down to by staff that tell you "I'm in theatre" like its meant to mean they're better than you.
Having worked in a variety of industries (retail, film, and healthcare) I have found that making sure your customer is informed, comfortable, and tended to are highly important aspects of repeat business and good recommendations. The break room has chosen to ignore all those aspects of a good business model. The staff at this place lacks all sense of empathy or civility. I have no doubt it won't even be there next year in a city where word of mouth is everything.
You could take your $45 to an op shop and do this in your own backyard. Or better yet, reign in your first world privilege and donate that money to an organisation that helps people instead of just making rubbish.

Hi Adam,
We're sorry you had a poor experience with us. I reviewed your circumstances and it appears you arrived late, and without all of your group present. You then verbally abused the staff when you were informed that we'd need to reschedule you due to your lateness as the times listed for your session is the start time. In all of the email confirmations we prompt you to get in contact with us if you're running late. You opted not to do so which left us with very little left to do except reschedule you.
I don't condone or accept verbal abuse of my employees no matter the circumstances. Your behaviour goes against what we seek to create, which is a safe space. Your lateness, lack of communication, and behaviour on the day was unacceptable in any place of business. Your continued attempts to undermine us on various websites says more about you than it does about us. We care about our customers wellbeing and take on a lot of emotional labour for folks when they're going through a tough time.
Sustainability wise, we're very mindful of the environmental impact that supply chains cause. Strictly speaking we don't generate rubbish as these items were ultimately destined for landfill anyway. We source all of our items from Charity Op Shops so the money spent with them helps those in need. We also recycle all our e-waste and our broken glassware and ceramics. They are sent to a company which turns them into roads. Waste wise, we create very little and recycle or repurpose the vast majority so as to not be the end of the supply chain, but to push it further.

Overall so much fun for a group of friends. Some angry. Some just after some fun! And the weird adrenaline rush of not getting in trouble for breaking things! I wish I spent more time here.

I went to the break room a year ago and also now just last week. Comparing the two visits the improvements in the whole “experience” side of things made it much more enjoyable. Rather than simply being handed a bat and told to not get hurt we had a great briefing which was both informative and comedic. A great way to spend time with the family for mums birthday!

My fiance and I came to relieve a bit of pre-wedding stress and it was fantastic! It felt great to cause a bit of damage (safely) and we were both so peaceful afterwards. The staff were lovely and were very attentive and helpful. Thank you for the awesome experience!

First time at The Break Room and I loved it. The staff were professional but still fun and everything was clearly explained. I went through my stuff fairly quickly but I liked that you can just stay in the room until you're ready to come out. It is worth paying for an extra crate.
